Summary: I bought my first one it was working fine for a few days then it started acting weird it was not recording when I was showin it was and when I tried to turn it off I had to reset it so I sent it back and got another one, so far this one is ok but the mic on it makes a weir tapping noise and my last one didn't so idk. It has good pic quaility and nice features that you can change all from your phone, but if it don't work right what's the point on having it.
Summary: You most certainly get what you pay for. I was hoping this would be a good alternative to a GoPro and in some ways yes but for the most part you may be disappointed. It has horrible mic quality and the mic volume is very low. Screaming into it is about the only way to pick up audio. The camera produces fairly good video if it is very bright outside. Walking through say some dense woods where it is shadowy makes the video very dark.
Summary: The video quality of this device is great and the sound quality is good but the battery life is lacking. I fully charged the camera the night before a ski trip and the battery life showed full when I started taking videos in the car on the way to the slopes but when I arrived on the slopes and started to run the camera, I guess the cold weather got to it. It was about 15° outside the camera would not turn on.
Summary: A big ski family, we bought this for our extreme skiing 9 year old for Christmas. On first use out of package, half of mount spring broke off. However, it still seemed secure in mount. The worst thing is the camera mount platform is so wide it doesn't fit onto any helmet. Half the mount is airborne. Our first two days' video have a huge camera shake/rattle from wiggle between camera and mount.
Summary: Bought this camera to stream to a Tmobile (Huwei) Prism andriod phone. Claimed to work with androids, but Google Play shows incompatibility & won't allow installing. Upon downloading from a 3rd party (provided by liquidimage support), I got it to work in limited fashion- can download images, but not view live video which was my original goal.
Summary: This tiny camera is a real electronic wonder. There are plenty of (video) reviews online but none here on Amazon so I thought I'd toss in my views while we get to know each other. Mine arrived last month. I got the black case since it would be easier to use it for clandestine shooting. I also purchased the water-proof case online from the manufacturer of the camera (Liquid Image).
Known Firmware Upgrade issues - Returned to Vendor for replacement
8 April 2013
Summary: Smartphone SW reported Firmware Out of Date, but unable to upgrade due to known issue with some units. FW upgrade caused camera to hang-up, needed full reset each time. Had to contact Liquid Image Tech support, but No joy. Liquid Image SW would not connect correctly to device at all. Power & Shutter buttons very difficult to use, unresponsive. Wifi capability is useful, but this product needs more work to make it robust.
