Summary: I wish I could give this a lower rating then 1 star, this is real junk it has a light on the front of the camera when it is on,it over heats after about 30 mins it cost around 200 dollars wish I had saved up for a go pro camera. Don't wast your money .
Summary: These things are the BIGGEST pieces of garbage EVER! Thank GOD they took it back and gave me a refund. What a piece of $***.. period! For a few more bucks I could have saved myself from this HUGE pain in the ass and bought a beat up and used GP which would have worked flawlessly.
second one and it's still not functioning correctly

Summary: I would highly recommend passing on the ego until all of the bugs are worked out of it. My first one was stopping mid video and then would not turn off. After exchanging it for a differnet one, I'm now having similar problems. This device is unreliable and I use it on a daily basis. Sad because the concept is nice.
Summary: Here's my greatly amended opinion after several months with EGO. It's half the cost of a GoPro Hero Black Edition, and it's worth even less. The camera quits recording after a few minutes, and won't restart. I have to connect to a power source, charge for 2 hrs to be able to use it, and then watch it quit again. It's been buggy and unreliable. The only mount that's not crap is the one it comes with, and they don't sell it separately.
Nice pictures, when and if they work... Unfortunately they don't.....

Summary: Really disappointing piece of kit. The first one I was sent only managed to hold a charge for about 20 mins then shut up shop. The retailer to their credit sent another the very next day free of charge. It seemed to work fine until it arrived in the French Alps last week to record my skiing endeavours. Fully charged and in the chest harness, the battery then lasted for around 10 mins.
Summary: I had the camera for a year, and while the footage was good quality, the recordings stopped after about 30 mins, and didn't start again, which is ok for what I was doing - karting in 20 minute or so sessions and skiing, where you could manually start another recording - but sometimes this was a little frustrating as I missed some really good moments, and the battery seemed to last a lot less than the 4 hours (I think) advertised, which let me down a few times...
Summary: Mine was very poor, although I may have just been unlucky. The battery coped very poorly with cold temperautures (-5 clesius to +5 celsius) running out of battery power after only ten minutes or so of filming, despite being fully charged at the start of the day. It also coped poorly in certain snow conditions, the image flickering between exposure settings. Image quality was good, but nowhere near as good as my friend's GoPro Black edition.
