Summary: I love this camcorder, this is my third. I am now able to do multi-camera shooting at a low price. The video quality is good but can get a little hazy with low lighting. You can't go wrong for the price.
Summary: I bought this camcorder because I wanted to record my brothers marching band performance. What I like about this product is that its super compact. I originally thought it was going to be huge but its small and easy to carry around. I love this camcorder. This is my first camcorder and I love it. I never tried other brands but I did look at some review on other brands and this one fell in the middle.
Summary: An underrated model. Best and easiest camcorder I've used. The color and low-light picture are great, the zoom is impressive, and the auto-focus works well. Even the built-in microphone is excellent. The control menus are sometimes difficult to access, but I haven't had to adjust the controls at all. You can use the camera while plugged into the wall, which some models won't do. I advise investing in a pair of large-capacity batteries.
Summary: Excellent picture in daylight. In door picture is good or acceptable. Zoom range is great, especially the dynamic zoom, which doesn't lose the resolution. No option for manual focus. Included battery is so so. But for less than $100, what do you expect?
Great camcorder for the money; poor battery though!

Summary: Camcorder is good value for the money. Extremely is to use, no need to read instruction manual. Battery that comes with it will last no more than 45 minutes in HD. Strongly recommend buying an additional heavy duty battery for vacations.
Summary: I had a everio hybrid before. I like the quality of JVC. This little camera is awsome in all sense of the word. Perfect price, small , good quality of video. (Does not take pictures). I will recomend if you bike or walk or do outside activities because is small and not heavy at all. I will recommend this product to everyone.
Summary: I looked for a long time to find an inexpensive camcorder that wasn't too complicated to use, shot decent videos, and would work with iMovie 09. The JVC GZ-HM30 was inexpensive on eBay and met all these criteria. Good battery with long recording time. This little camcorder is basic, but it works for me. I followed the earlier reviewer's method of getting the videos into iMovie, and it was simple.
