Summary: I love this camcorder, this is my third. I am now able to do multi-camera shooting at a low price. The video quality is good but can get a little hazy with low lighting. You can't go wrong for the price.
Summary: I bought this camcorder because I wanted to record my brothers marching band performance. What I like about this product is that its super compact. I originally thought it was going to be huge but its small and easy to carry around. I love this camcorder. This is my first camcorder and I love it. I never tried other brands but I did look at some review on other brands and this one fell in the middle.
Summary: Do not buy this,it is cheaply constructed and feels like it will explode if dropped.Picture quality is not good.Buy the Panasonic HC-V500 it is worlds away from this JVC,you will love the Panasonic.
Summary: Excellent picture in daylight. In door picture is good or acceptable. Zoom range is great, especially the dynamic zoom, which doesn't lose the resolution. No option for manual focus. Included battery is so so. But for less than $100, what do you expect?
Great camcorder for the money; poor battery though!

Summary: Camcorder is good value for the money. Extremely is to use, no need to read instruction manual. Battery that comes with it will last no more than 45 minutes in HD. Strongly recommend buying an additional heavy duty battery for vacations.
Summary: I had a everio hybrid before. I like the quality of JVC. This little camera is awsome in all sense of the word. Perfect price, small , good quality of video. (Does not take pictures). I will recomend if you bike or walk or do outside activities because is small and not heavy at all. I will recommend this product to everyone.
Summary: I'm no video geek, so I wanted something easy to operate but that took decent video. JVC GZ-HM30 is a basic camcorder, but it has some extras. I especially like the stabilization feature. It also works with iMovie 09 on the Mac. This little camcorder works great for my purposes! I recently took 10 minutes of video of my dad relating war experiences while holding this camcorder with my elbow propped into a very softly cushioned couch.
