Summary: I don't care for this camcorder for a couple of reasons. First if you are recording anything moving the subject is blurred. ie Sporting events, Dog running around kids in the back yard. The part of the picture that isn't moving is fine but JVC camcorders record at 30 frames per second.
Summary: I looked for a long time to find an inexpensive camcorder that wasn't too complicated to use, shot decent videos, and would work with iMovie 09. The JVC GZ-HM30 was inexpensive on eBay and met all these criteria. Good battery with long recording time.
Summary: Length:: 1:41 Mins I should make it clear right off the bat that I'm reviewing the JVC Everio GZ-HM30UA. (This is where Amazon led me with that search, and it looks like it)And also please note THE VIDEO ACTUALLY LOOKS MUCH BETTER THAN WHAT THE AMAZON VIDEO PLAYER SHOWS.
Summary: I purchased this item refurbished off Woot, with some worry about getting video files to a Mac. The documentation for uploading to a Mac is quite poor, however, it does work as long as you want to import movies into iMovie. First, open iMovie.
No support for Mac? In the 21st century?? Are you [F word + gerund] serious???

Summary: A merely competent entry level camera with terrible ergonomics. If it weren't a gift (which was very thoughtful btw), we would have returned the minute we realized that the bundled software, which is almost certainly crap anyway, is FOR MICROSOFT WINDOWS ONLY.
Summary: Video quality is decent, but the files are in a difficult format to transfer and even more difficult to edit. Battery life on this camera is the worse I've seen yet on a modern electronic device.
Summary: I had got this as a Christmas gift. I wanted to record my 6 and 2 year olds little funny moments. I love this camcorder. It is sooo easy to use, and my videos come out beautiful! The face detection and hand stabilizer are great extras.
