Jazzed Up JVC Camcorder Hits a Few Sour Notes "It's a YouTube camera ... It's a camcorder made for uploading YouTube clips ... We think this cam will be great for sending videos to sites like YouTube." Honestly, if I hear that phrase (or anything like it) one more time I'm going to punch the YouTube guys in the back of the head . Why? Because more than representing a simple distribution model, these days the moniker has come to represent just plain crappy video quality.... Read more

The JCC GZ-MS100 is a pretty average camcorder that shows a lot of room for improvement, but don't even think about using it for still shots. Plenty of digital compact cameras offer better quality images and more functionality. Read more

The bottom line: The JVC Everio GZ-MS100 is an average budget SD-card-based camcorder that's more attractive for its small design and relatively average video quality than its unique interface and one-touch uploads to YouTube. Read more

JVC Everio S GZ-MS100 Camcorder 5 I bought this based on the reviews from amazon and also watching this product on HSN TV. This was the best deal I got from amazon for $180.00. I am using 8GB HC SD card on this and it runs about for nearly 2 hrs on the fine mode, which has an excellent video quality. The great thing being the SD card which makes downloading a whole lot easier. Although the recordings are in .mod files, you can still watch them on windows media player. I... Read more

Costco has this for 249 with a 4gb card, best price I have seen.   works fine, cheap enough to abuse and use.  I like the self timer feature for .jpg photos.   Almost replaced my other compact still camera, plus it's a great video camera.   Beat the flip in quality and features. Read more

Good camcorder for casual user. The PROS: First thing I liked about this camcorder when I first saw it was the zooming range. It can reach up to 35x and still, the image in this aspect is really clear, you can even read a text from a book 5-10ft away. On the other hand, the focus gets really shaky. Common for all long range zoom rate or I think, just those shaky hands. It has image stabilization capability so whenever you zoom out to the max, you can still see a good... Read more
