Summary: It's a wonderful not HD camera, it could be but it isn't. The only thing that is sad is the auto focus in the dark...exemple when you film a show it's very hard for the camera to focus on the stage because of the lights effects, and it's really really dark. But with lights the image is really great!
Summary: Camcorder is good for family quick videos and snap shots. gets some getting used to but once oriented its pretty easy to use. Low light functionality is very weak however especially the auto focus.. but most all other lighting situations it functions great. Recommend for the casual family shots.. wouldn't try to win any contests or use this professionally..
Summary: I got his camera for $600, and it was a great purchase. First, the camera is very compact which makes it easy to carry around. Even with its size, it has a 30GB storage and a 10x opitical zoom. I like the f/1.8 Konica Minolta lens, which focuses very quickly and takes some great-looking still photos. The 7-megapixel sensor also helps with its recording.
Summary: I really like this camera. It is compact, shoots nice stills and has good sound qualities. The interface is intuitive and I was tweking settings right out of the box with little or no reference to the manual. It is perfect for quick family videos and fits in a small camera bag, making it easy to transport. The problem is when you shoot long videos and want to edit them down.
Summary: I always wanted a single device which shoots movies and takes decent pictures and I (almost) found it in the product. After a long period of research I bought the JVC Everio 730 and I am pleased with the ease of handling, the weight and the dual use (pictures and movies). The sound in movie quality is way better than the old mini-DV. What lets the model down is the relatively poor image quality (despite 7 M pixel) which means I still going back to my digital Ixus.
