Summary: I have had my GZ-MG330 for a few years (with minimal use) but recently a problem has come up. The LCD screen does not work anymore. While in "recording" or "still" picture mode the LCD screen goes black.
Summary: I bought this camera after reading various reviews. It is no longer the newest out there but I thought it was important to save someone else the disappointment I feel. I agree with the reviewers who said that with the camera's small size the shake is difficult to control unless it's on a tripod.
Summary: Overall this is a nice camera. The MOD file extension is a pain. Very few programs will work with this file name. That means you may have to convert the file unless you use software included. Also the hard drive is very motion sensitive. I also had to have this camera replaced.
Summary: It has a yellow tint to it and takes bad pictures.I bought it to take video and pics so I dont have to carry two cameras around and now I still have to take a reg. camera and this video camera also.
No reason or justification for useless .MOD format

Summary: I used this camcorder to record several hours of classroom observations that we did for a study. The quality of the sound and video is acceptable, though hardly impressive. The problem, though, is that it saves files, for reasons beyond my understanding, in the .MOD format, which makes it very...
Summary: I purchased this yesterday, and am returning it today. I needed a camcorder to record billiard and pool matches for practice and archiving. Now I wasn't looking for HD for broadcast, but it would have been nice to actually have some decent picture.
Based on the reviews, there must be a bad batch of camcorders.
I was hoping for better, Amazon

Summary: Looks and sounds great on the surface. All the features seem nice and the video looks great until you play it through a TV. I have a 40'plasma tv and the image looked terrible. It looked like a poor digital camera mpeg.
Summary: Bought this to replace my trusty but dying Sony thinking the picture quality HAD to be better after six years. But sadly, no. My Sony TRV350 had much better picture quality especially in weird light situations (shadow/light, low light, etc.). Focus was horrible and stabilization non-existent.
Summary: Don't buy this camcorder. Not worth it. Spend a little more and get a camcorder that does everything decently.
Pros: This camcorder rocks for the size and price. the CCD is clear and the menu options are easy to understand. Very compact. Doesn't feel like you are going to break it either.
Cons: The picture taking is HORRIBLE! max resolution of 640x480! Not even 1 megapixel. Very strange that a nice camcorder would have such a bad image resolution. If I had known that the camera has .33 megapixels I would not have bought it. Now I have to take 2 bags with me. The camcorder and my older d...
Summary: The camera itself seems to run smoothly. However I am unable as yet to see how the video plays on my mac. When I came to download the recorded files to my mac, I discovered that the native JVC mod. format is not recognised or playable.
