Summary: Didn't realize that the camcorder wouldn't be coming with the battery, charger or any wire components. Literally all I got was the camera. Kinda bummed I now have to find all the other parts to even know if it works.
Summary: It has a yellow tint to it and takes bad pictures.I bought it to take video and pics so I dont have to carry two cameras around and now I still have to take a reg. camera and this video camera also.
Summary: I bought this camera after reading various reviews. It is no longer the newest out there but I thought it was important to save someone else the disappointment I feel. I agree with the reviewers who said that with the camera's small size the shake is difficult to control unless it's on a tripod. I have my camera's settings on the highest quality picture available. Outdoors at close range the picture seems to be more crisp.
Summary: I purchased this yesterday, and am returning it today. I needed a camcorder to record billiard and pool matches for practice and archiving. Now I wasn't looking for HD for broadcast, but it would have been nice to actually have some decent picture. On the viewscreen, the picture was fine, but I was dismayed when I got it home with 4 hours of footage on Ultra Fine. It uses MPEG2 in a .MOD format. Not very friendly to work with. I didn't even try the lower resolutions.
Summary: This camcorder can literally fit in the palm of your hand. It is so small that I wonder why it is so expensive. Also, the features that should decrease the price value of this camcorder are: no night vision (come on! this comes standard on camcorders now!), battery life is a horrible 1 hour and 50 minutes, videos recorded on ultra fine video quality gives you about 7 hours of space, so plan on having a computer to back up your movies all the time so you can have more...
Summary: Overall this is a nice camera. The MOD file extension is a pain. Very few programs will work with this file name. That means you may have to convert the file unless you use software included. Also the hard drive is very motion sensitive. I also had to have this camera replaced. the first one I had failed after one use.
Summary: First the good side: the camcorder has an excellent video resolution, which is not the same as an excellent picture. Now the negative: the image, especially color control is overengineered, resulting in perpetual color changes during the same scene triggered by subtle changes in the background. The display image markedly deviates from the actual recorded image - it is near perfect on the display, way too dark after recording.
Based on the reviews, there must be a bad batch of camcorders.
I was hoping for better, Amazon

Summary: Looks and sounds great on the surface. All the features seem nice and the video looks great until you play it through a TV. I have a 40'plasma tv and the image looked terrible. It looked like a poor digital camera mpeg. I compared it to my cannon powershot SD 400 (regular digital camera) and the images looked the same. Worried I was being unfair I hooked up my old sony camcorder, a DCR-101 (mini DV) from 2002, to the TV and the image was much much better.
Summary: Started out great! Filmed the kids and sports, thought the color might be kinda dull, but OK. Made a few DVDs, but not without serious thought and effort. Could be a little easier - several steps. Within 14 days, just absolutely quit working without warning - did not drop, charged. Exchanged, thinking one bad apple...
Summary: Bought this to replace my trusty but dying Sony thinking the picture quality HAD to be better after six years. But sadly, no. My Sony TRV350 had much better picture quality especially in weird light situations (shadow/light, low light, etc.). Focus was horrible and stabilization non-existent. Colors not real or vivid. On the plus side it holds a huge amount of video, is extremely easy to transfer the video to a computer, is very small and thus portable and looks cool.
