If you are looking for a camcorder that can do more than the basics, you may want to consider what the JVC Everio GZ-MC500 has to offer. Priced at approximately $800 the Everio GZ-MC500 offers many top of the line benefits that will suit consumers who are searching for quality video and photo capabilities. This is not to say that the Everio GZ-MC500 is perfect, but when compared to the competition this model can most definitely hold its own.

When it comes down to it the Everio GZ-MC500 is one of the most technologically advanced cameras available from JVC. Photos and videos are captured on a memory card or hard drive for easy accessibility. But the thing that sets this model apart from the rest is the three CCD chips.

For a camera with three chips the Everio GZ-MC500 is surprisingly small. Although it is not the most compact camera in its class, you will never have any problems handling the Everio GZ-MC500 while shooting videos or stills for an extended period of time.

Although bright life performance is solid with the Everio GZ-MC500, we cannot say the same for low light situations. Things could be worse, but images were not as sharp and colors not as true in low light.

Other downfalls of the Everio GZ-MC500 include low battery life, automatic features that are not up to par, and no jack for microphone use. While all of these things can be a bit bothersome, they are not enough to rule out the Everio GZ-MC500 as a good buy.

The JVC Everio GZ-MC500 offers a compact design that is sure to accommodate the needs of both beginners and advanced videographers. Anybody who is willing to shell out bit of extra money should consider what the Everio GZ-MC500 has to offer.
