Summary: I'm new to the digital camcorder world, but this one has been working great so far. I didn't realize we'd need to purchase a separate memory card to allow it work, and a cable to download the images (we didn't have the right drives on the computer for the card) but after we picked those up, we were able to use it and download the videos and still shots.
Summary: Never buy in Cheap_Electronics1 The box is from another camcorder I buy and pay for a new camera The battery is other, is not the original The cable does not correspond to specifications equipment snuff smoke smell, is used!! missing a piece that covers the input missing lens cap lousy service!!
Summary: However; no lens cap, cables, manual or software gave me some preliminary concerns. I was able to download manual from the JVC web site. Windows 7 professional will work with this cameras SD chip or you will need to order the proprietary software CD from JVC for $35 bucks. The 37 mm lens cap was $5 bucks.
Summary: This camera has a very clear image and amazing zoom, but is just not good for moving scenes, if you plan to record sporting events, or thing that require that you have to move the camera, you will be better off with something else, but, besides that, if you plan to shoot most out of a tripod or such, the camera has a crisp and clear picture by far better that other of it's price range, for the price this camera is a good buy.
Good quality, good video, battery less than awesome

Summary: First, I want to say that this is a great camera. It has a lot of options and features and works perfectly. It is easy to use and the menus are clear and easy to follow without needing to refer to the manual. The video quality is good and it did perform well for me indoors. I was skeptical as some of the reviews questioned the use in low-light situations. However, a room with a light turned on proved to be more than sufficient to capture vibrant, crystal clear video.
