Great Camcorder but to many problems when used. Dont buy used!

Summary: I bought this cause a good friend has a camera just like it. But when I received it the JVC camcorder had several things wrong. I got an estimate to fix camcorder but estimate was to high to fix compared to value of camera . So I emailed the resolution center. They did a good job and finally sent back the JVC camcorder. If it was new I buy one in a heart beat. But used I dont think I will go there again.
Spend your money wisely! This is not one of those!

Summary: I have owned a JVC GZHD7 for almost two years now and filmed about a hundred hours with it. My rating of a `1' may come across as harsh; Even though the GZHD7 has a few nice features it lacks ease of use and for the price. It really isn't worth the hassle! I wanted this camcorder to just give me what I filmed so I can burn it to a DVD. That's all I wanted, instead JVC's uses a unique file format, which should be a customer service crime.
Summary: Despite many hours or work and attempts to get assistance from JVC I have not been able to get this Camcorder to copy files to my well-resourced, high-speed vista computer. The JVC customer support system doesn't help either. Right now they're directing customers to send emails and I just sent another one this morning. It says the average turnaround time is five days.
Summary: Yo tuve el modelo anterior (gz 505) y la verdad es que quería combrar una sony y me metieron en la cabeza la JVC, por prestaciones y "curriculum" la verdad es que impresionaba. Luego cuando pague los 15oo ? y me la compré, me dí cuenta que no era tan fiero el leon como lo pintan. Decepcionante, esa es la palabra, decepcionante, el balance de blancos, fatal. El estabilizador optico, una "mier".
