Features

The JVC GZ-HD5 comes with three 1/5-inch CCD image sensors, Fujinon 10 x optical zoom lens, 200x digital zoom lens that provides sharp focus and smooth zooming, minimum focal length of 3.3mm, maximum focal length 33mm, Lens Aperture of F/1.8-1.9 and Auto Focus TTL contrast detection. The device is equipped with a built-in lens shield, Image Stabilizer, manual adjustment, automatic zoom adjustment and also a motorized drive plus it comes with a filter size of 43mm. It also supports MPEG-2 digital video format and image storage for JPEG (1920-by-1080, 1440-by-1080, 1024-by-768, 640-by-480). Besides that, the camcorder effective still resolution is 0.53-megapixels, features Shift technology for its sensor pixel and comes with Light Sensitivity of ISO 100, ISO 200 and ISO 400. The JVC GZ-HD5 is equipped with a 2.8-inch LCD colour TFT active matrix display with 207,000 pixels, digital player recorder and has a rotating display capability plus it also provides minimum shutter speeds for video recording at 1/2 second, while its maximum shutter speed is 1/4000 second. The device has a built-in microphone that features wind noise reduction, Digital photo shooting mode, infra-red Remote control, a combined USB / AV port, and also it supports microSD memory card for further expansion of storage capabilities, plus an internal memory from its built-in hard disk drive of approximately 60GB. Other features include Shooting Programs (Snow, Spotlight, Night mode, Sports mode, Portrait mode, Twilight mode), White Balance settings (Custom, Presets, Automatic), White Balance Presets (Fine, Cloudy, Halogen), self timer, self timer delay with 2 sec or 10 sec options, Low Lux / Night Mode, Digital Still Camera Function, DPOF support, auto power save, Histogram display, Sharpness control, Brightness control, Accessories hot shoe, USB 2.0 compatibility, Backlight compensation, Digital noise reduction, Progressive scan CCD system, CyberLink BD Solution , JVC Digital Photo Navigator plus inclusive of Camcorder shoulder strap. The JVC GZ-HD5 also comes with one HDMI output, one Composite video/audio output, one S-Video output, one IEEE 1394 (FireWire/i.LINK) and one DC power input Expansion Slot. It support and uses Li-ion JVC BN-VF815 (1460 mAh) rechargeable battery. It has a dimension that measures in at 2.9-inch (7.4cm) in height, 2.7-inch (6.9cm) in width, and 5.1-inch (13cm) in depth plus it weights in at 16.9 ounce (479 grams).
