This is a great camera. It takes crystal clear HD shots

Summary: This is a great camera. It takes crystal clear HD shots. I use it for website films. Everyone that has seen my films have commented on how clear the imagery is. I bought it new as it was being discontinued. It was a great deal.
Summary: After using a newer Canon Vixia HF R400, this camera's strengths are apparent. The image stabilization is nice and does a decent job of stabilizing jerky panning on a tripod. The Everio's low light shooting outperforms the Vixia's by a long shot. Saving money by buying external memory is definitely my preference, so this fits that bill. The stock battery is terribly small, so I bought a larger aftermarket battery.

Summary: Great camera. JVC makes a fine small HD digital camera with lots of cool features that you would find on a $3,000 camera for just a few hundred bucks. But the larger battery for camping and all day hikes.
