Summary: I love this camcorder. It is easy to carry and use, and the camera like read body offers an excellent viewing display. The camera zooms in and out smoothly and is very stable in hand held shooting, but a tripod is always better to use for extended recording. I purchased two external microphones for use outdoors to cut down on wind noise across the cameras built in microphones. The JVC PX-100 has the best reviews for a $1000.00 camcorder.
Excerpt: This camera feels great to hold onto for shooting video from many positions, thanks to the multi-angled view screen. However none of the positions face forward. Much better ergonomically than shooting video with a DSLR but still small and looks like a good tourist camera, as opposed to a pro camera. The touch screen menu is very responsive and menu layout is easy to navigate.
Great sports teaching tool without breaking the bank.

Summary: Used primarily for our ski and snowboard school and packs a lot of features in a small unit. The WiFi to tablet, smart phone or external WiFi monitor and operating remotely are excellent features we use extensively through a JVC app that is easy to install. May not work with all tablet models so just look it up. Only 4 stars because for the cost, 120fps-240fps should be at 720p and not below.
Excerpt: Camera came without US power cord adapter. Make sure you have good lighting for high speeds filming as sensor has trouble grabbing quickly at 500 fps.Worked well for our intended testing impact ball drop test. Easily imports into computer for viewing high speed movies.
Poor Build quality and even wirse after sales service

Summary: False advertising, as they say it does manual shutter speed which it does not in high speed mode. I had it in writing from JVC that it did. Decidied to keep it as HD quality was good but Touch screen picture intermitant after 4 months. Spent 4 months in their repair centre wating for parts. Sent back not with touch screen no longer working and touch screen function completely gone. Warranty only 45 days!!!!!
Excerpt: Positive: -The slow motion is definitively something nice to have-The DSLR shape resulted in a very intuitive control layout.-Pretty good on closeups. -Made for shooting sports.Negative-Slow motion is a cool feature but is capable to record at very low (almost useless) video quality. It's true though that you can choose a not-that-fast-frame-per-seconds, but what's the point to have this camcorder, then?
Pros: Easy to Use, Great Zoom
Cons: Poor Image Quality, Poor In Low Light, Poor Still Image
