Excerpt: i found this camera easy to use. the manual was straight forward and the operation was quick. the cover at the back of the lcd was a very hearty throw in mindful for us who work in the sun.
the sound: great HD sound.
Summary: This is a very nice camera, but it 9is far from a 'complete kit'. I saw that coming so I'm quite happy overall. A larger (at least large enough to hold a fully assembled camera and a few extras) a spare battery/charger, a couple of SD cards and you have a decent kit. Oh, and an actual tripod...
Excerpt: Camera came without US power cord adapter. Make sure you have good lighting for high speeds filming as sensor has trouble grabbing quickly at 500 fps.Worked well for our intended testing impact ball drop test. Easily imports into computer for viewing high speed movies.
Summary: I was debating if I should buy this camcorder and I'm glad I did. I was looking for a camera that would include a time lapse function. This came in handy when I created some animated lego footage. The slow motion feature was fun to use too.
Pros: My Pros:
Includes more dedicated buttons than some other consumer camcorders.
The jvc gc px100 comes with quite a bit of accessories, such as a component cable, an hdmi cable, an editing software disc, a usb cable to transfer files and firmware updates, a lens hood and a hood for the LCD screen...
Cons: Here are my cons:
I wish battery life was longer.
No remote control, but there seems to be an IR sensor on the top of the camcorder.
The LCD Screen wont flip in the opposite direction if you want to see your footage while recording.
Very good camcorder footage, poor still image quality~ read on!

Summary: Very good video quality- not good at stills.......quality is just not there as a still camera- which is ashamed as it has very nice controls. As a video camera it's very sharp but produces chromatic aberration (purple fringing around highlight areas)...
