Handy

Mary Kate "Nature Lover", Amazon
13 November 2011
  • Summary: I bought this with a monetary gift when I retired so I could take videos of my travels. It was self explanatory in its use. I do miss a viewfinder because when it is sunny, the reflection on the viewing screen makes it difficult to see what it is you are videotaping. Otherwise it is fine.

ScottW, Amazon

  • Summary: Overall pretty impressed with this camera. Not the greatest in the darkness but I expected that since it doesn't have an external light. The zoom works pretty good & the touch screen is very responsive. Good bargin for the price & a great beginners ccamera.

Frank L Calomino, Amazon

  • Summary: I bought this at a great price and found that I take it with me wherever I go. Takes nice HD video. Plugs in to a tv via hdmi mini cable (optional) and the videos look great. Easy to hold and the audio isnt too bad. Has lots of useful features.

Hand-y video camera, has its limitations

Steven Kushner, Amazon
22 November 2010
  • Summary: Overall, a good handheld camera that does what it is intended for, takes relatively close-range, controlled-environment footage. If you are out and about and want to film your immediate environment, I like the size, quality, function, and screen. But if you are in a new place and are trying to capture it all - far away, different lighting situations, etc. - make sure you have another camera on you.

A Step Forward in Pocket HD Video

David Bowen "Mr. Monkeypants", Amazon
10 September 2010
  • Summary: Nifty little camera. I've played with it for two days. The Pros: 1. Really decent performance in low light/ indoors/ darker environments. 2. Image stabilization that other pocket video cameras don't have. 3. Really, really fun time-lapse function at 3 different speed settings. 4. Very innovative software for editing stored internally in camera memory. Lots of novel effects. 5.

Very good value camera

B. Swaminathan, Amazon
20 October 2013
  • Summary: I was a bit sceptical when I bought this but I have to same I'm pleased with this buy. The picture and video quality is extremely good even in low light and it's much better than my previous pocket camcorder (which was a Kodak Zi8). Sound quality is very good as well. The only downside is that the touchscreen interface is not very intuitive and moreover, I believe it uses a resistive as opposed to a capacitive touchscreen, which means it's not as responsive as most...

Great vfm

Iain Girling "oldfolkie", Amazon
2 October 2012
  • Summary: Ordered as a birthday present to myself. Something I'd been after for a while, but couldn't really justify it. No regrets. It does exactly what it says on the box. Unlike most JVC kit, it has easy to understand instructions and is VERY simple to use with top quality results for a hand-held cam-corder. It is also genuine HD quality, albeit from a small format camera.

User Review

Don Macaulay, Cnet.co.uk
12 August 2012
  • Summary: Great if you want somthing you can stick in your pocket or shoot occasional footage with, not any good for proper video capture.
  • Pros: Portability, Reasonable quality video, Very Light, Supports 64gb SDXC
  • Cons: The Camera not using the whole LCD when recording is by far the worst thing about this camera, how hard is it to make the sensor rotate the video!?

Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis

A.K., Amazon
9 November 2011
  • Summary: Sehr schickes Kunststoffgehäuse im Metallic-Look.
