Summary: We purchased for a christmas gift and the only part of camera that didnt work so well was the video it was dark and didnt have good lighting, therefore we returned and purchase something else.
Summary: Well the product is decent, but buttons can be a little clumsy and hard to push. Video quality indoors at 720p is awful, you will need a lot of light. 1080p indoors recommended and again with a decent amount of light. Video does get grainy with 1080p even in good light.
Summary: First: I really didn't expect the device to perform miracles and my expectations were set low given the price. It does what it's supposed to do. It does shoot higher quality video in better lighting. I was able to upload the videos easily and the still shots were decent.
Summary: I returned this to my place of purchase for a refund. I think if Im going to get a digital camcorder, I am going to pay the extra and get a higher end model.
Pros: I purchased this on sale and got a good deal. Looks great! easy to use!
Cons: This was the first digital camcorder Ive used, and was not too impressed. I was mostly shooting in darker light, in the evening indoors, and the picture seemed really grainy. Tried again during day and didnt find it much better.
Summary: Works as advertised. Nice, compact unit that is easy to use. Works good indoors or outdoors so long as you don't need to zoom. The zoom appears to be all digital and picutre quality falls away quickly. I thought 1080 res would allow me to crop but it doesn't.
Summary: The video quality in this camera is good, I like the compactness and ease of use as well. the capability to take pictures is almost an afterthought, you need absolutely perfect lighting or you'll end up with a barely discernible photo.
Summary: Battery life is horrible, less than an hour when using it in 720p mode. 1080p mode is very grainy, but I expected that. Focus, well, sure wish they had a manual one cause it could be adjusted a tiny bit and be pretty decent. Macro is great, but man, you have to hold real steady to keep it in focus.
Summary: In optimum conditions this is a fine bit of kit, but it struggles in anything other than bright light. It may perhaps have been that I was using a class 4 SDHC card rather than a class 6, but my other camcorders work well with class 4.
