Summary: The camcorder is ok but my problem is that you can not find a DVD burner to transfer your movies onto like most of your JVC camcorder. The camcorder is otherwise ok, but I gave it a low raiting because the seller told me that the camcorder was brand new but when I turned the camcorder on the previous family who had onced owned the camcorder had 3 years of family videos still stored in the camcorder, not to mentioned the owner of the camcorder or somebody recorded some...
Summary: The software on this thing is impossible to use on my end and I am NOT computer illiterate. I actually am pretty good with technology, but I struggle with this thing. I bought a memory card for it also and, for some reason, the camera doesn't recognize it. It is the right size and I even had an employee in an electronics store assist me and they couldn't get it to work either. So, I'm stuck using the internal memory on the camera which is very small.
Summary: This camcorder appears to be a decent product for the price. Nice zoom. BUT- I have a Mac computer, and it is NOT easily compatible with a Mac. Don't let anyone fool you. If you want to have to jump through a lot of hoops and download additional software just to get your video transfered then get this camcorder. I don't. I had it for a month and became very frustrated. So I am returning this. I already purchased a Flip and it is sooooo easy to use with a Mac.
Summary: Nice feature around laser touch, good size and look, the rest of that are ok. the problem is battery life is too short, it is not last longer than 1 hour. Also my window media player and Facebook cannot recognize movies aspect ratio. They always show the wrong aspect ratio. Still picture quality is useless. Another anoying problem is there is no way to superimpose date and time in burnt DVD (i think no one can do with free provided software).
Summary: I got this camcorder, but will be returning it, quality not better than my 8 yr old camera (what HD?, a joke), not comfortable to hold, battery runs out too fast, still if you even walking slow, it's "shaky". Software only available on CD, I don't have a cd drive on my Dell Mini and can't install it.
Summary: Saw this item at HSN and selling like crazy. Saw some good reviews on that site too. Decided to order at Amazon. Got it. Picture was clear but sound quality was poor. Can barely hear even when connected to the computer or TV. Amazon was nice enough to exchange. Got the 2nd one. This time sound was good but picture quality was grainy. I tried to convince myself to keep it since I like the size, and color. But my old JVC with tape has better picture and sound quality.
Summary: Shot video and stills under all lighting conditions - Even in bright sunlight the picture on computer monitor is extremly grainy. Indoors is way worse. I didn't try it on the TV, but took it back to the store the next day. Might be OK for you-tube, but not for saving memories of the kids or grandkids.
