Summary: I picked this camera out after noticing it was on a clearance rack at a nearby store. I was going for a digital camera, but this caught my eye since I could use my phone's camera anyways. It was refurbished and came with the camera, battery, charger and a/v cable. Quality This camera has 4 different quality modes to choose from: Ultra, Fine, Normal and Economy.
Based on the price I paid, I am very happy with this purchase.

Summary: The only downside that I consider at this time that it is not HD. I do not consider this necessarily a downsided item, but this particular camera does not provide very many extra features. But that is not an issue to me since so many of the video editing software has the effects that can be added into later. Because of this, the camera is extremely user friendly.
Excerpt: We just had a baby and purchased this camcorder just before delivering her. We wanted to make sure we had a camcorder that would be reliable to tape her first bath at the hospital and yet not one that would break the bank. I saw a lot of online reviews for the JVC Everio and decided to go with it. So far, I am very happy with it! The quality of the video is very good. Also, it is a very user-friendly camcorder and easy to operate. The playback is very easy to use.
Excerpt: We finally decided it was time to purchase a video camera. We really don't have too high of expectations when it comes to electronics...we really just wanted something to document of family's daily activities. I am very happy with the JVC Everio camcorder so far. I really love the 45x zoom...you can zoom on things that are really far away. The SD card makes it very easy to upload the video on to the computer.
Summary: I ordered this little camera knowing it was going to be standard definition, that being said for it being a old model standard definition camera, it does the job. The audio is great, there is settings to adjust for wind. Some other customization features, but that is where it is mostly limited. The zoom is pretty great, clear crisp zooms to the moon on a tripod. Anti shake features, easy sd card pc transfer ect.. The picture quality is not bad.
Summary: Nice unit. easy to use. a good value. has some nice features that are on more expensive models. haven't really got to give it the "test of time" but bought it on other reviews of similar buyers. It is a bummer that it doesn't come with an SDHC card so you have to get one of those first. not out of the box usable. Make sure to figure in the cost of card 10-50 bucks depending on how much record time you want.
