A Decent Camcorder For a Good Price.

S. Traversi "contraversi", Amazon
27 December 2009
  • Summary: I purchased this camcorder around 5 years ago. It works great and is easy to use but the software that comes with it is useless and horrible. I use a MacBook Pro with Final Cut to edit video which needs a firewire connection to import video.

A very good choice!

Luciano Palma "Luciano Palma", Amazon
27 April 2009
  • Summary: This cam is excellent. Small sized, good image quality, excellent luminosity (1.2), even if the image gets a bit "grainy" in low light condition. The reasons for not getting the 5th star are: - No USB streaming (you cannot use it as a webcam or capture image in "realtime" - You NEED to buy an extra,...

  • Summary: the camera is really small and has lots of features. the problem is that the software is not supported by VISTA. the software is Power DVD and the actual company is in Taiwan so support is impossible. I am working on using my camera thru Windows Movie Maker and have had some luck.

Even the cave man can do it

J. Ahonen, Amazon
8 March 2007
  • Summary: This camera is very easy to use, takes just minutes to get going. Good value for the money, but still pictures are a joke, sound quality and settings could be better and transferring clips from camera to PC is from 80s.

It is also a great snap shot camera

papajuan, Amazon
7 February 2007
  • Summary: Going to a HDD camcorder from a miniDV camcorder was like going from a film camera to a digital camers. The camera will also record directly to SD memory cards. (about 50+ minutes of normal quality video on a 2GB card) I would recommend getting an extra battery and external charger.

GREAT camera - a little dark at times

Tante Mommy "Tante Mommy", Amazon
16 January 2007
  • Summary: We love this camera. It is very easy to use and is especially easy to download and burn onto DVDs. This makes sharing very easy. We bought this one because of the f1.2 lens which lets in more light.

JVC Everio GZMG77

Brian Doyle, Amazon
9 January 2007
  • Summary: I have only really used this for some family videos. Plus marks are for size and weight. I put the videos onto a 42" plasma and they look fine. I am sure you can get better quality but at the end of the day if you want to make a Hollywood production then you dont buy a $700 Camcorder.

My first camcorder experience is a good one

J. M. Libit, Amazon
24 July 2006
  • Summary: Bought this for a trip to southern Africa. It is my first camcorder - I was always turned off by the idea of lugging around tapes or blank DVDs. I have used ultrazoom digital cameras for all my other trips, so I am familiar with making manual adjustments for different situations.
