Summary: This camera is great, only problem is, that almost immediately, two vertical lines appeared on the display. Another line appeared a few days after that. It makes no difference to the recording, but I am afraid that after a while I will not see what's on the display. I bought this for my dad and were able to give it to him after a few month so now I am wondering if I get any warranty help from JVC.
Summary: I recently just got this camera and boy is it frusterating! Now don't get me wrong the video quality is just pure excellence compared to the last camera I used. Another pro is the night alive feature which allows you to turn on a light built in the camera if necessary. Now with the cons.
Summary: Used this for High School soccer matches and my daughters college music recitals. I had this a total of approx. two weeks and video taped a recital and three or four soccer games. Right out of the shute, I had to buy a tripod to make viewable footage. It would make you seasick otherwise. While I liked the camera, you can record into the harddrive, and I had good lowlight results, these qualities couldn't overcome the vibration/gittery footage off of a tripod.
Pros: AV input recording, Comfortable to Operate, Durable, Great Features, Great Sound, Simple Controls
Cons: Blurry zoom past 10x, Must use tripod, No image stabilization, Poor Battery Life
