Summary: Loved the seller and the camera. Small, HD, plenty of storage, and the optical zoom was on the higher end. My only concern was that I normally plug my camcorder directly into my HDTV to show my son what was good and not so good from his basketball games. This camcorder was for overseas and therefore, it wouldn't show. That was my fault that I didn't notice this when I purchased it. However, the seller was awesome.
Summary: I'm not going to get technical, but this does what I want it to do. I ended up finding an open-box product cheaper at Fry's, but it does work great. It does work really well in low-light, in my opinion. Sounds is good. The only complaint is that it's not that easy to transfer videos to your computer- you have to have their special program installed on the pc to do so, if you are transferring them from the camera's hard drive.
Summary: I like this camera a lot. I do a lot of video editing. The program that comes with it is not great. I use Pinnacle Sutdio and it does better with the video. Be prepared to buy a Blueray burner and a Blueray player to get the most out of it.
Summary: I purchased this Video Camera from ebay but i wanted to get out a real true review to all of you about this specific JVC camcorder... First off I have to admit i was a bit skeptical about the purchase of this JVC video camcorder because of its small size and that its a digital camcorder.
Summary: After using an earlier, mini-DV, JVC camcorder for the past several years, I thought it was time to upgrade. I thought that recording to a hard-drive made more sense than to flash memory, and if I was going the extra mile, I might as well choose HD over standard definition. So far, it's worked out well. I like the overall handling of the camera, and since I'm not big on reading directions "out-of-the-box" I found it quite simple to figure out.
Summary: Very pleased with this camera especially when compared to my last digital cam whose pictures were extremely disappointing. Have loaded pictures onto my PC and recorded them onto DVD although it takes some time using the supplied software. The only downside thus far has been my attempts to get a backup battery at a reasonable price. I think it would be a wise move for two batteries to be supplied with the camera.
Summary: this high def camcorder with a built in 120gb hard drive is an excellent product, especially for the price. Have owned 2 previous camcorders (both using tapes). This one, unlike my older models has easy to use controls. Small form factor and light weight add to the ease of use. Downloading from the camera to computer or just immediate playback on TV is very easy. We are using the camera to record youth soccer and youth football- fast paced.
Summary: I'm just an amateur, but here's my 2 cents. The camera is very easy to use and navigate. The different modes, such as Youtube mode, etc, are a little confusing and the manual doesn't explain the functional differences, just how to switch. If it would just tell me what format each mode is in, I could do the research myself and select based on that. For video quality, the shots are clear, but bounce heavily even with the antivibration on the highest setting.
Summary: I did a lot of research before buying this product because I was concerned about low light performance(many HD cameras record grainy in low light.) You need to spend some time with the manuals to get full use of the features. Pros: Small, light, easy to use, everything performs as it should.
