Summary: I got this camera at the end of 2010 for about $420. the little touch buttons on the side are kind of hard to use, and navigating the camera is also a little bit hard. I had this camera for about 2 months until the thread broke off. I used the Opteka baby death fisheye with this camera, it was hit with a skateboard once, which losened the plastic thread, and it broke completely off the next day. the thread was poorly designed and not well attached to the camera.
Summary: I spent one week time on web to search right HD camcorder, I thought this JVC GZ-HD620 is the one I need. after I took 3 hours video shot at my Bahamas vacation and play at my 40" Sony LCD TV, I found the daytime video is good, but night time video shot at lights or dark blurring, no matter under UXP or Xp mode.
Summary: I like a lot of things about this camcorder which has been mentioned in other reviews. But the following made me returned this camcorder at the cost of 15% re-stocking fee and shipping. When I recorded a long musical play, the camcorder limits the internal files to 23 minutes and 10 second each. A long recordig session is broken up into several segments of 23 min. and 10 sec. So during playback, I can only view in 23 min. and 10 sec. segments.
