Summary: I love everything about this camera except the HDMI port. It does not work. But, this is not the 1st JVC camcorder product that does not work on the HDMI port.Their remedy - unplug, replug, turn off, and turn on doesn't work. Changed cables. Does not work period.
Summary: This is the first video camera I've tried that records to hard drive vs. Direct to SD card, as with most cameras. it is also the first JVC camera I've used. I must say I am pretty impressed. It's size is small and not too heavy, making it pretty easy to carry most anywhere.
Summary: The camera worked fine and was in like-new condition with all accessories. Amazon makes it a pain in the ass to review products because it has to be 20 words or more. That's why no one does this you idiots, so blah, blah ,blah, blah. Are you happy now?
Summary: My review does not really concern the JVC GZ-HD300. It is a really great little camcorder. With a 60GB hard drive, 20x lens, full HD and easy point-and-shoot capability, you can't beat it for the price. I got mine on clearance and am very satisfied.
Summary: Overall I found the GZ-HD300 to be on par with my Cannon HG10 in image quality and workability. Others have written about the specs all of which I agree with, so I'll just say the only minus for me is that there is no mic input, which I use a lot.
Summary: Not a bad camera for the money. We really didn't need the High-Def as we won't be able to burn that quality till we purchase a Blue Ray burner but we figured the price will drop to a reasonable level in a few years and we plan on having this camera for 5-8 years like our old one.
