Summary: This camcorder is the worst piece of technology ever made. The video quality is terrible, the photo quality is even worse, and the interface is really, really bad! I found that 10% of my media was corrupted before I could even view it. I though is was my SD card, but it was just the fact that this camcorder corrupts random media for no reason. It looks kind of neat, but there are plenty of other camcorders out there that I have that same good look. Don't buy this!
Summary: I have owned 2 of these for a few years now, and have only 1 complaint about them. The viewfinder screen is impossible to see in daylight! So I carry a towel to toss over it when aiming. At this point in time ignore all of the boo-hoo folks. Yes, there are better out there now a days, but none as tuff as these. I am getting ready to look for my 3rd one so I can do 3 camera shots, and at this point you can grab them for $20 or less all day long.
Summary: My Insignia NS-DCC5HB09 is a great sized camera for everyday use and extremely durable, which I would know because I have dropped it quite a few times. I would say that it really only works well in well lit places due to it's low quality flash. I also would not consider this HD because although it enlarges onto bigger screens, the picture is sometimes not perfect.
On a budget but not wanting to be cheap this is the way to go

Summary: I think the insignia hd camcorder is a wonderful product, I really liked it. and compared to some of the more expensive cameras I think its a bang for the buck. If you're looking for something inexpensive but nice this is the camera. Its lightweight but does not feel cheap to hold. And the swivel screen comes in handy for viewing what you just recorded. I would recommend it to anyone.
