Summary: I haven't used it a lot yet, but it seems easy to use and takes very clear bright video. I shot fireworks at night and was pleased with the sound and video. Battery life is very good! I did not receive a manual , but its not very difficult to operate . I like devices that are intuitive and this one is!
Summary: This camera is excellent for the money you will spend. Easy to use and captures great picture!I would buy this camera again or I would suggest to friends. The ability to store video to DVD is the greatest option.
Summary: I already had one of these video cameras, and saw this one for sale, hardly used, and in excellent condition. I use them at weddings for an added touch to still photography. It is a great little camera and takes very good video. Looking forward to letting others use it while on vacation while I use one as well.
Summary: I was looking for an inexpensive yet quality camera to fill my needs and happened to run across the Hitachi DZ MV580A on a search. The camera is easy to use and pretty much self explanatory and designed so that it is almost impossible to screw it up unless you really try. The unit & bought had no manual but a simple search provided a source and Hitachi support was great for the additional software I needed. Pros..
Summary: I love this it was a birthday present for my husband! We had a baby in january and at 6 1/2 months he started crawling and my husband kept saying this needs to be filmed so I got him a camera and ya we love it it is perfect!
Summary: Good camcorder overall. You must be really careful with the DVDs after recording and during finalizing. If you touch the DVD before finalizing then you can loose all contents. If the camcorder looses power while finalizing the same occurs. The movie quality is great when played straight from the camcorder, but not as good when played from a DVD player (newer model, SONY, progressive scan). Great, long-lasting battery.
An extra digital camera not necessary with this baby

Summary: While I admit the processing software was slightly annoying initially, we've been completely satified since installation. Being able to store it all on the computer as a secondary back up to the disks is a relief too as disks are too delicate for my tastes as the only means of holding precious keepsake photos and videos. We've had no software glitches or disk/card initializing problems. I do not understand why so many other reviewers also have a digital camera.
Summary: I already paid for a sony dvd camera but when I tested it and gave it some beating with the functions,it was so bad. Then the salesman gave me this HITACHI dvd camera.I tried it and tested it.It was awesome and gave it some test too. It was clear and stable. It was worth every penny.Though, some folks still find the brand name Hitachi to be unpopular. If you look at the products of this company it may be considered as high end compared with the more mass or consumer famous...
