Don't be fooled!

Summary: This item does NOT include a 197'/60m dive case. It's the 40m case instead that actually has small holes to better capture audio. Pay $20 lass and get the Hero3 white that is actually labeled correctly.
Great when it works. GoPro support is awful though. Good luck getting help if it fails.

Summary: I know this can be a great camera, but the case leaked the very first time we used it and the water killed the camera. So we paid hundreds of dollars for nothing. When we complained to gopro they would not do anything to help. No refund, no repair, nothing.
Summary: This is by far the least dependable electronic device I have ever purchased. Summary: Simply, I hated the fish eye effect of the camera lens. Their idea of a wide angle lens is to make the world like like you are seeing it as a fish. Unfortunately there is no way to adjust this in the white edition, only the black.

Boy was I was wrong. I used the camera for the first time on a video shoot at a major rowing event.
Summary: Just got a Hero3 White to replace a Hero2 that did heroic work on high power amateur rockets. The good news is a very compact design. The bad news is an impossible job getting it to work. 1. The camera MUST be upgraded to latest firmware out of the box. 2.

Summary: I bought this camcorder to put in my windshield, in case of an accident. In two weeks of trying I haven't gotten the camera to work. The battery is always dead, or only lasts thirty minutes. The camcorder has several design problems: - The camcorder can't run when plugged into a power source.
Warning regarding wifi, firmware issues and general review (March 2013)

Summary: Edit: apparently the same review is tagged to both the Hero 3 White and Black, which makes no sense since they are entirely different, but I guess I'm going to have to edit this to cover both cameras. Here goes: I'm a current Hero 2 HD owner.
