Excerpt: Flew all the way to Dominican Republic and used it every day in the pool and the beach. Captured every moment with with 11 month old son. Did not have to worry about damaging the camera. Only down side is grainy video in low light settings.
Pros: Durable, Easy To Use, Highly Compatible, Lightweight
Summary: This compact, versatile camera is the best camera I have ever owned. The high quality, accurate picture definition at high speeds is incredible! The various mounts to choose from allow picture taking with ease in any filming situation. I used the head strap on a kayaking trip down some very fast moving rapids , it held firm and took perfect images for miles and miles of white water rapids.
Summary: I bought the GoPro Hero3 for my grandson who likes to skateboard, and video tricks he performs. In the summer, when we go to the beach, he uses it to boogie board, and record the waves with him in them. Surprising how small and light it is! A must to record any outdoor activity. We are planning on strapping it on our dog to see his perspective!
Summary: Impulse buy...now I will never go without one. Works perfectly. I guess the newer ones already have the firmware updated because mine had no paper saying to update it first, like I saw on some video reviews. The video is surprisingly steady when mounted to my motorcycle for track day sessions. On the street, only the worst bumps upset the footage. I was worried about getting just the "white" version. I couldn't be happier.
Summary: Compared to the Hero 2 I have this camera has some advantages. First among them is battery life. This is a drastic improvement over my Hero2, even with the battery backpak. It is also a bit smaller and lighter. The lens is a bit of an improvement in areas like near object sharpness. The new video modes for HD don't really impress me as the frame rate drops to get them. I find the color to be superior to the Hero2, it's quite a bit more vivid, without looking fake.
Summary: This is by far the least dependable electronic device I have ever purchased. At least 10% of the video files are corrupt and unplayable, it turns off repeatably in the midst of recording for no apparent reason, it goes into error mode and becomes unresponsive often, and removing the battery and memory card do not solve the issues. A terrible purchase in retrospect. I'm shocked that these are so popular.
"Good quality videos"... if you manage to get them off this piece of junk

Summary: I bought this camera about a month ago hoping to record my skydives... Don't have a single recording yet! The very first jump I was recording ended up in cutaway. After I safely landed on my reserve parachute, the first thought was "yay, I'm alive", and the second was "how awesome, I got it on video". Well... I was soon to learn the latter was not the case. The GoPro camera stopped recording shortly before I exited the plane. Looked it up on Google.
Summary: The GoPro Hero 3+ camera is a nifty little device. It fits easily in the palm of your hand, or in a pocket, but don't let the size fool you. This camera is big on the inside! Its simple point and shoot function is improved by an excellent wireless app for mobile devices that expands on its function making editing and transfer of images simple and flawless.
