Summary: My son bought this to use while motocross riding. He has continued to use for that purpose as well as things like skateboarding and snowboarding. It takes create pictures. The only issue we've had is that once mounted onto his helmet there was a little movement from where the camera connected to the...
Summary: I got this camera for Christmas 2012 and just now (Mar. 2013) got around to using it. Well, trying to use it. It locks up randomly when trying to shoot video or connecting to the PC. I have to pull the battery to get it back. I've tried all the recovery methods and nothing has helped.
Summary: I originally owned the Contour Roam. Excellent product as well. I like the Go Pro, Size suits Helmet mount very well. It also includes more mounts in the initial package then the Contour Roam.
Summary: I have the GoPro HD Hero and it stopped working after I left it charging for quite some time. I did not know at that time that it would have a detrimental effect on it. After that incident, the camera would not even turn on anymore. I used the GoPro to take videos on my DJI Naza quadcopter.
Summary: I should note that the first model I received had some sort of defect and wouldn't record two videos consecutively without needing to be hard-reset, but the replacement I got from GoPro (after about a week, hence me docking 1 star from the product) works as advertised.
Summary: I tried a GoPro1 and wasn't that impressed, so I tried the GoPro2 and was very pleased! It's even better when you do the firmware upgrade and get more FOV's. I have mounted the BlurFix lens for underwater.
Summary: I recently purchased the Motorsports version directly from GoPro. This gadget (and the free Cineform editing software from GoPro's website) has a bit of a learning curve, but if you are reasonably tech-savvy you will figure it out quickly enough.
Summary: This was my first foray into video cameras. I wanted to make short movies of various scooter rides and other events. As mentioned in other reviews, the product comes with a limited set of extras. I subsequently purchased various RAM mounts, e.g. to mount the camera on my scooter and for tripod use.
The GoPro Hero 2 is still as good or perhaps better than 3+

Summary: I bought the GoPro Hero 2 couple of years back for shooting vehicles and we've used it in almost all our out door shoots. The lens angle is a bit of a let down - but that's a problem with all GoPro cameras. The colour density can be worked on in post and the camera can take a few knocks.
Summary: As my title, been using this unit for 2months now and the video is great. I have to say it's one of the best compact action video camera out there and very rugged. I love all the mounting options it comes with the package (motor sport) and the overall cool factor of the camera itself.
