Item was supposed to be new... got a refurbished one. BEWARE of DBROTH
Allen D. Aleshire, Amazon
19 February 2013
Summary: I purchased the camera in July last year. It worked great until a few days ago. It stopped working and would not turn on. I contacted GoPro and they say there is supposed to be a sticker on the inside of the camera with a serial number. There was no sticker. I purchased from Amazon through a reseller "DBROTH". I am having problems getting warranty work because of this. The camera appears to be a refurbished. I am trying to work through GoPro...
Summary: The mounts supplied with the camera are insufficient to safely and securely mount the camera. I carefully prepped and cleaned my smooth and flat surface. I mean REALLY cleaned it. And I dried it. And I cleaned and dried it again. I mounted the adhesive mount, pressed it on with all my significant weight, and I let it set a good 18 hours. 3 turns on my snowboard was all it took for the mount to fail and the camera to disappear to who knows where.
My GoPro Hero2 does not turn on after ONE month of use
3 May 2012
Summary: I started using my GoPro Hero2 and it was quite good, but after only one month that I bought the product simply does not turn on anymore. I tried to turn it on with the troubleshooting tips (GoPro website) and it did not work! So I have contacted GoPro assistance and they replied me quickly, but unfortunately I live in Brazil and they do not have assistance here. I saw on internet lots of consumers with the same "turn on" problem.
The camera is nothing special, just the mounts with it are!

Summary: I bought this to make filming my car alot easier and filming riding my motorbike. The GoPro Hero 2 main points for me to buy it was the mounts you get with the action version, as my main camera, SD700 I can't risk taping that to my bike and it falling off and I can't mount it in my car either as I can't find a mount for it and trying my tripod is no good as it's too shaky in a moving car, unless I drill it to the floor which I'm not going to ruin my car just to make a...
Summary: More than a little upset that the first order of business after the camera arrived was to upgrade it. (I purchased the bacpak + remote too) Quality control....hmmmm. Also, more upset that I had a problem attempting to upgrade. Had to google the download problem and eventually found the solution from another GoPro purchaser. Then I found that my 2 SD cards would not work in the camera (they function in my still camera)so off to buy another.
