Summary: I really needed another GoPro and I figured since my HERO1 has always worked so well an improved model would be even better, right? Wrong! This camera, for whatever reason, constantly freezes up. I have tried many things to get it to work properly, to include: 1) different SD cards 2) upgraded firmware 3) different battery 4) different settings. Nothing seems to help and no matter what I do it freezes up.
Summary: This camera is designed to be rugged (when encased) and hard to use, and I am a photographer by trade. The button that turns it ON is the same as the button that changes modes. Dumb design. This means you are often taking the time to shift back to "video" or whatever when all you wanted was to turn it on and shoot. This mode shift is not a quick process. Turning it on and off requires a very hard, deliberate push that you have to hold for some time.
Summary: I bought my 3rd GoPro Motorsport edition, Wifi BacPac in June of 2012. Initially it worked really well, until GoPro released an update for the camera in Oct. of 2012. After updating this camera 4-5 times over the course time between june-oct I had become very familiar with the bizarre process... Then in october when the new update was released giving funtcionality for the app, I was excited. The update bricked my camera, after contacting support the same day...
Summary: This is the 2nd time I've bought this camera. The first time, the camera had all kinds of problems so I returned it (different company) and got my money back. Being that I still wanted the camera, I bought it from this company. The camera was shipped quickly and I followed ALL of the directions as soon as I received it. All to no avail. All the problems that I had with the 1st camera came with the second camera. 1.
Summary: Bought this brand new over a week ago and out of the box it did not work. I contacted Gopro about it being brand new and not turning on several times and they wont respond so instead of going through a warrenty process I have to return it. Yes I know you may ask about the memory card, its a class 10 transend, formated or new didnt matter, battery also new charged all the way, no bent prongs no nothing wrong just out of the box its a dud.
Summary: If you like fake looking video with a constant fish eye look, mediocre sound, no viewfinder, short battery life, an unintuitive user interface and a price tag that's twice what it should be, then look no further. It's a cool idea, but Go Pro is just trying to dump as many of these substandard cameras as possible before a company like Sony or Panasonic comes along with a much better version. Wait it out...
Still images badly underexposed. Tech support unresponsive.

Summary: I bought a Hero2 3 weeks ago. It worked fine initially, but one day while taking a series of stills for a time lapse video, the still images went dark - almost completely black. I emailed technical support. They requested "samples" of the images. There is no way to attach images in their webform and I get redirect errors when I submit it. I told them that, and included the exif data from the last good image and the first bad image (taken one second apart).
Summary: When recording video, i keep getting a rattle sound in the recorded audio whenever the camera moves / shakes even when i shake it with or without the housing it makes a very noticable rattling sound from deep inside. it sounds like something is loose and shaking around inside! When contacted their customer support they recommended i do the following: - If it is the buttons that are rattling on the camera itself, you may try placing a piece of tape over the buttons to...
Summary: I bought this for both snow boarding and also to take video from cars too. I have been very dissapointed with the video quality in anything other than bright sunlight. Also the battery / camera is faulty and I have just been informed by the customer service dept ( only US based too - thumbs down ) that I have invalidated my warranty as I cannot guarantee it has been used with ONLY Go Pro charging kit.
