GoPro failed me when I needed it most
5 December 2012
Summary: With the new firmware update, my GoPro has been losing or not even recording entire video clips and mysteriously running out of battery. Then comes yesterday... I was riding in the carpool lane when a car decides to change lanes over double lines right in front of me.
Summary: Bought this brand new over a week ago and out of the box it did not work. I contacted Gopro about it being brand new and not turning on several times and they wont respond so instead of going through a warrenty process I have to return it.
Summary: I bought my 3rd GoPro Motorsport edition, Wifi BacPac in June of 2012. Initially it worked really well, until GoPro released an update for the camera in Oct. of 2012. After updating this camera 4-5 times over the course time between june-oct I had become very familiar with the bizarre process...
Summary: No sure what is all that fuzz about the new GoPro HD Hero2. As a professional photographer I will put the GoPro HD2 on the same level as cheap chinese camcorders in terms of image quality. Very disappointing in my first test when using 1080P.
Summary: This is the 2nd time I've bought this camera. The first time, the camera had all kinds of problems so I returned it (different company) and got my money back. Being that I still wanted the camera, I bought it from this company.
Summary: I purchased my GoPro Hero 2 new from Play-It-Again Sports in Wasilla, AK during the month of November 2012. I purchased this camera on the recommendation of a friend who said that the image quality was superior to the ContourHD camera I had been using previously.
Summary: I had this camera, then bought the wifi bacpac and the camera and wifi would not work together. I updated the firmware and it broke the camera. After weeks working with gopro I mailed it to them which they sent me one back.
Great video until it dies, terrible customer support
20 March 2012
Summary: I bought three of the Go Pro Hero 2's for aviation, diving and motorsport apps. They work really well, until they don't. One died after a firmware upgrade at month 6 after probably 15 uses. It received a firmware upgrade, now the camera will freeze completely while cycling modes or power.
Summary: I've used my Hero2 camera twice and it's been nothing but problems both times. I have it mounted on my snowmobile helmet and would like to use it to record video while riding then take scenery photos in between.
