Major Upgrade from the HERO1
Kyle Heiman, Amazon
30 August 2013
Summary: These things are durable, strong on video, sesitive on sound, and practical for any mentions of recording life. I've used it for everything from diving into pools to racing on the track at 110mph.
Summary: I really needed another GoPro and I figured since my HERO1 has always worked so well an improved model would be even better, right? Wrong! This camera, for whatever reason, constantly freezes up. I have tried many things to get it to work properly, to include: 1) different SD cards 2) upgraded firmware 3) different battery 4) different settings. Nothing seems to help and no matter what I do it freezes up.
Summary: I had purchased the original GoPro HERO camera in 2011. It had audio recording issues and I sent it back to GoPro for repair. The one that was returned to me still had the exact same issue. When they came out with the new HERO2, I just sold the first one and bought this one thinking that perhaps they had refined the microphone. It also has audio recording problems.
Summary: My son bought this to use while motocross riding. He has continued to use for that purpose as well as things like skateboarding and snowboarding. It takes create pictures. The only issue we've had is that once mounted onto his helmet there was a little movement from where the camera connected to the base which would make an annoying noise in the video while riding. This was corrected with a small piece of paper to prevent any movement....
Arrived with a screw missing and rattling around inside the electronics
5 June 2013
Summary: Purchased 6/2013 for $386 total. The first thing I noticed is the camera rattled when I moved it around. I also noticed that one of the four screws in the battery compartment that hold the camera together was missing. Putting 2+2 together, I surmised that the missing screw was rattling around inside the body of the camera.
Summary: When I picked this up I was a little worried about it being the right choice. However now after using it for about 6 months now, I can say that it was well worth the money. I mainly use it for recording my training flights in the Cessna 152 and 172 but I have also used it for recording some pretty sick snowboarding videos.
Summary: I absolutely am loving this little camera. I have had one for a while now and I just bought Snake River Prototyping's Dive housing for it so I could change the filter that I put on the Camera. I have no been diving with several different filters on the camera for depth and I am loving the versatility of the GoPro both above and below the water. The pictures are crystal clear and the Battery life couldn't be better!
it's an investment on memories -- whether by land, sea, or air...have fun.

Summary: As you have seen from hundreds of "ThatWebsites" Hero2 videos, by now you know the quality of both the picture and sound. There are many more video and camera options than anticipated so this is a nice value to a compact camera. This model I purchased was a used version and included both the "Wi-Fi BackPack and Remote", both which I would highly recommend as you can add an app to your phone developed by GoPro to wirelessly connect to your camera and control what seems to...
Summary: I was all set to purchase the GOPRO Hero 3 when I saw the reviews indicating some issues with the software. While I like to have the latest, I didn't want to waste my time trying to update the software, contact customer service etc. I looked at other cameras and in the end went back to this model and read the reviews extensively. I took a chance and made the purchase. I first used this on my motorcycle. With a little setup, I was able to get high def video.
