Pros: light, small, cheap, takes great videos even if fairly low lighting levels exist...much better than some more expensive cameras...
Cons: works without a problem for years...now freezes up now and again...works ok for a while after being reset by battery removal for a couple of days or longer...still takes great videos for up to 2 hours if memory is dumped to your computer regularly...
Summary: I bought this as a Christmas present for my bride of 20 years. Over the years she has most of my presents for one reason or another. She absolutely love this Flip Cam. Very easy to use. Beautiful Hi-def videos. Simple downloads to a computer oe YouTube. We Absolutely love this thing.
Summary: I did get a used camera, so maybe that has something to do with it, but my experience was less than positive. I started by filming a trial video just to see how well it worked, only to find my computer wouldn't recognize it. Something about not finding the diver. I looked online and found that this was a more common problem and the driver doesn't seem to be anywhere. If it exists, I still haven't found it.
CARRYING POUCH STAINS YOUR Flip Camera. Do Not Use Pouch
Virginia Mendoza-Hernandez, Amazon

Summary: First of all if you are a MAC user you will not be able to use Flip Share, which is the software that the camera descriptions details explains so much about. You can share, view, crop edit, create and take still pictures from your videos with Flip Share, but Cisco has not and will not make it compatible with the newest iOS software. Basically, I got stuck using iPhoto because of this BIG issue that they do not WARN you about.
Summary: Used it less than ten times before it started shutting off as soon as it turns on. At first, I thought the batteries were too low, but even with fresh batteries, I turn it on, it boots, then shuts off before I can even start recording.
Summary: The seller was fantastic, went above and beyond on customer service. The 1st unit wouldn't stay on even with fresh batteries. Contacted the seller via Amazon email. Prompt response from the seller was apologetic and proactive. Sent out a replacement unit that same day! He did not wait to receive the malfunctioning unit back, even covered my return shipping!
Summary: I was deciding whether to buy a minoHD or UltraHD but chose the later because of the word "ultra". It gives me the impression that the picture quality of "ultra" will be better than mino but it sucks. The pictures are grainy taking indoor.
