The world’s sleekest HD camcorder now features 120 minutes of record time and a large, 2" anti-glare display, making it even easier to capture stunning HD video.
The MinoHD retails for $229, a hefty cost for such a simple device, but does it compare in quality to the Kodak Zi6 camcorder? We'll bring you that review next week. Read more
We’re big fans of Flip Video’s incredibly easy-to-use pocket-size video cameras, but it’s been difficult to wholeheartedly recommend them given the superior video capabilities of today’s point-and-shoot digicams. Read more
The bottom line: Still one of the nicest models available, the second-generation Flip MinoHD offers a slightly improved design, double the memory, and an HDMI output for the same price that the original MinoHD used to cost. Read more
by Christopher Breen , Macworld.com After updating the Flip Ultra pocket camcorder to shoot in 720p high-definition (HD) video, Cisco turned its sights on the Flip MinoHD. The smallest of the Flip camcorders, the original MinoHD ( ) produced only adequate results—typically lending a yellow tone to video shot indoors, offering a fairly underpowered mono microphone, and providing no way to view HD video on a TV connected directly to the camera. The new MinoHD changes all... Read more
Though image quality has taken a dramatic step forward from previous Flip camcorders, the MinoHD remains the kind of camcorder you will only likely use for short clips and capturing tomfoolery due to its lack of adjustability and real camcorder features, like focus and zoom. That said, its image quality took us completely off guard for the size and weight of the camera, and now that YouTube accepts clips in 720p , all that detail will reach your final audience, too. One is the ability to use replaceable batteries (the MinoHD has a built-in rechargeable Lithium battery). The other is a flip-out... Read more
I second docb77's request about the Creative Vado HD. What gives!? You guys put THAT on your "The List", but have no review posted for it? Read more
When I bought this flip mino, 60 minutes 13 months ago, I was skeptical about the negative reviews because there were so few and the positives seemed to greatly outweigh the negatives. Well, I wish I had payed more attention because it completely stopped working and THE most inopportune time that I could imagine. I used over the course of 13 months it to take exactly 372 SHORT videos, mostly of my infant daughter. It was working fine this Christmas morning which also... Read more
HD Video, small profile, sleek look, decent audio and "wireless" connectivity make this exactly what we wanted to capture family memories in everyday scenarios. Not really great at replacing the handheld, MiniDV camcorder but very adept at the niche market it's aimed to please. Read more
I really wanted to like this camera, but after the screen started malfunctioning on me after two months, I am horribly disappointed. The worst part of all this? Over a whole month of emailing and calling Customer Service to get them to send me a replacement. After all this time, I got someone at linksys wanting a copy of my receipt from amazon. This is the worst customer service ever. I will never buy another Flip product again. Read more
