Awesome HD product! Vertually hands free remote control! Great quality

Summary: I recently purchased a new drift x170hd stealth. I have taken it for a couple hundred miles of filming and picture taking and it works great for both functions. I considered a Go-Pro but Drift is a notch above Go-Pro by having a remote control which I mounted onto my bike handle bars for snapping pics and on and off at ease for videos. Unlike the Go-Pro which leaves you in the dark to feel for buttons on the camera while it is mounted to your helmet.
Summary: THE GOOD * The video quality on the Drift HD170 is impressive! I found the quality to be better overall than the Contour 1080p and the GoPro HD with a crisper picture and brighter colors. The Drift HD also offers automatic exposure control for dim and bright lighting conditions. * The Drift HD comes with a variety of durable mounts including a helmet grip, goggle mount, handlebar grip, and head strap. The mounts are quick to set up and hold the camera very securely.
Summary: This is a quick overview of the Drift x170 (shot with a cell phone camera) and some sample videos taken with the X170 in the first couple of weeks I owned it. As I point out in the video, the build quality of this camera is great: the battery & media door clips shut solidly, and the rotating lens feels very firm, and doesn't budge after you set it where you want it. Also the clip that holds the camera into the various mounts works well, and is easy to remove when needed.
Summary: My husband and I bought this camera after using one while cat-skiing in British Columbia. I love the fact that it's compact and low-profile, so it doesn't get snagged in the trees. Most of the other cameras we looked at didn't have an LCD screen or remote control. The screen is really important because I wanted to make sure we're getting the shot we want rather than getting home to find out we were shooting snow or sky all day.
Summary: Got mine reconditioned at fraction of the price. About £40 including delivery. It never came with the av lead but these about 99p of eBay Camera does what it says on the tin. Really good wide angle. And comes with all the different mounts.
Summary: This is a superb little camera, it's cheaper than the go pro and the hd version but still works very well, so far I've got 5 hours of footage on it [ well on the sd card] it's only used four aa batteries, it's easy to mount, it doesn't jiggle about when it's mounted, it has a little red light that shows when it's recording, it does have wind noise when going at speed [but that can't be helped as it's mounted on the side of the helmet most of the time].
Summary: I bought this camera on a friends recommendation and it works well for videoing my motorcycle trips. Bought it in a sale and it was an excellent value. Highly recommended and much better than those cheap Chinese rubbishy little things I had bought on ebay that work but soon stop working
