Summary: These are disposable cameras... Once your warranty is over, and something happens to it, you have to throw it away. The company states it is not worth fixing. The best they can do is ask a distributor to give you a discount on a new one. Really? Why would I buy another one if the first one broke?
Summary: I have to admit, we have limited options when it comes to a good helmet cam (maybe 3?). Many of us ride mt. bikes, windsurf, snowboard, backcountry ski, and just plain play hard...we need a camera that can be subjected to all the elements. I bought the Drift 170HD over the Contour because it advertised itself as "waterproof to 0.5 meters" I thought "damn!....I wouldn't have to throw down $40 for a waterproof case" (Contour is not waterproof and needs a case).
