Summary: I love the wi-fi remote that I strapped to my handle bars. It allows easy selection between camera and video, and shows a different color light for each mode. It also will stop blinking when the battery on the camera is dead (3-4 hours). Excellent pictures, great mounting, and the lens rotates to any position so I have one on my helmet, one on my back fender. You can use one remote to trigger multiple cameras.
Summary: I am a professional photographer and I have had my eye on "Action Cameras" since GoPro hit the market years ago. However, the bad reviews forced me to wait it out. I'm glad I didn't just jump on the wagon with the most popular cam. Had I, I would have overlooked Drift Innovations and the Drift HD Ghost. I admit that upon ordering this camera, I was fully prepared to send it back at the slightest sign of defect. Luckily, it didn't go that way.
Summary: I am realizing that the mic I received and the mic in the photo and what is on the Drift Innovation website are completely different. The mic advertised here and the Drift site show the male plug with two green rings around it which would indicate a 2 channel (stereo) connector/mic. The mic I received has 1 black ring around it and it only records in mono. Why would I receive a completely different mic than what is advertised?
Summary: The camera is very comparable to the GoPro. I bought it instead of the GoPro it for it's standard mounting, better battery life and built-in screen. There are a few catches though: On the plus side: - Very good battery life - Standard mounting screw - Waterproof up to 3 meters out of the box without the need for the cover - The remote control has LED indicators for which mode you are on and can easily change the mode - Video Tagging is very useful when you don't want to...
Most features for the money but video quality still has limits

Summary: Pro: Sturdy, lots of nice features Con: Use video settings with care. Higher settings don't always produce a better image. After initially giving this camera a much lower rating, I did some more experimenting with it. Based on what I learned, I've upgraded my rating and rewritten part of this review. First the pros: the Ghost S is sturdily made and comes with an extensive set of built-in features.
Summary: So, I got to be one of the lucky ones that received a DOA camera, straight out of the box. It's too bad, because it really is the sexiest electronic paperweight I have ever had the good fortune to own. The packaging is nothing short of brilliant, the housing appears to be well-built, the remote is neat, and the whole camera is coated in a soft-touch rubber that will surely wear off with time but when it's new it feels like velvet.
Summary: The camera is supposed to be secured in its packaging with a grey plastic screw that threads into the tripod mount. I received the first one I ordered early this week and the camera was loose. This caused it to bang around the hard plastic packaging and become scuffed. I returned it, ordered another and received it the next day with the same problem only the second one was scuffed worse. I'll deposit two stars for this item for now.
