Awesome helmet cam!
Summary: Have used this for capturing kart racing. Works great. Useful features are ability to angle lens to maintain flat horizon with camera mounted on angle - means camera doesn't have to be sat on top of helmet so you have more eye level view. Good sound quality, very good image quality. Takes still images while shooting video. Remote works great and iphone app especially helpful in setting viewing angle etc.
Summary: I use this camera for recording autocross events. The camera I had before this one was a Replay XD and there were 4 reasons I upgraded to the Drift HD Ghost as my second camera. (1) It had selectable FOVs. I prefer 127 degrees for my footage. (2) Remote Control - I need to be able to remotely start and stop without unbuckling and getting out of the car. (3) External MIC Jack that works with their camera. (4) Preview Screen.
Summary: I did a lot of research and comparisons before deciding on the Drift HD Ghost. I have no buyers remorse whatsoever. I use this camera for dual sport motorcycling, skydiving, and aviation (flight instruction). Firstly, the packaging is outstanding. Right from the get-go it just says 'attention to detail'. The 'manual' that comes in the box is sparse to say the least, but who reads those anyway? Everything you could possibly need is online at their website.
Summary: I'm in love with my HD Ghost camera. I got this as a birthday present after months of tremendous frustration with both my GoPro Hero 3 and my Contour. Long story short, I had a lot of problems with the GoPro Hero (namely, battery life - mine would crap out after 30 MINUTES! Seriously! I assumed this was a factory defect so the rest of my frustrations stemmed from attempting to deal with GoPro's nonexistent customer service. My other issue was with the firmware).
Unreliable - Poor Customer Service - Not Acceptable

Summary: Now the extra charger I just bought is broken after 2 charges (life is too short to become frustrated about a silly cam battery charger, but I feel it's important to share this experience for both the prospective consumer, and the manufacturer that is dumping this junk on the consumer). The connectors just fell off inside the unit. What's next with this saga with Drift?
Summary: I purchased this product after a great deal of research, and felt that I had made a great decision. The unit takes great pictures, and offers unique features that other units do not. That being said, the unit did not meet my expectations, nor did the customer support. COMPLAINTS: 1. The unit randomly stops recording. I have missed several action moments, where it recorded the first 15-60 seconds, and then stops.
Summary: Considered for a long time between Hero and Drift and chose Drift as it is in some aspects better (waterproof), looked more compact and was cheaper. Just back from a motorcycle trip from Colorado and use the camera every day without problems. Loved the wireless connection with my iphone so I watched my rides at night again on a bigger screen. Only missing the ipad app as this would be even better.
Summary: It's the perfect camera, and is the one with the best options, but it would be great if it had a GPS tracking for adding to the video, even if it's not built-in. So, a socket for ampliations could be nice, too.
