Summary: I've been buying and using GoPro cameras since they came out, then decided to try something different - Love the results of this camera. It has all the features I need of an HD GoPro without having to buy all the features separately - like 'wireless module', and 'view finder'. And it's water resistant - no need for the added enclosure that GoPro requires unless I want to go deeper than 9' underwater!
Summary: I'm a kayaker and have had no water problems though the screen fogs a little bit. There is also a little problem where the camera will sound a funny tone after about 10 secs. of starting a video and stop the video. It doesn't power off. So I can then start it up again and everything is fine. Docs make no mention of this. Camera is pretty sturdy - I've dropped it and hit it on rocks while upside down and it works fine. Wish the remote was waterproof too.
Summary: The camera has impressive video and the battery last much longer than I expected. The design of the camera makes it easy to mount anywhere, its low profile makes it less likely to be caught on a tree limb unlike the Go Pro camera which sticks up high on your head. Over all Great camera.
Summary: Wife gave me this for Christmas, 2013. I use this mostly while snowmobiling. Mounted low on the right side of my helmet. The camera sits at an angle, not a problem, adjust the lens to correct for the tilt of the camera. With the remote and tagging, it works wonderful. Do not take this camera out and expect to get perfect shots the first time. Practice videoing stuff before you try for something that is important to you. Batteries last 2.3-3 hrs in tagging mode.
Summary: quality and easy to use. we had a GOPRO before....this blows it out of the water. Only problem is that you have to buy a Micro SD card and a mini HDMI cord to play video on you TV for the money you spend on it those 2 items should be included....The remote portion is slick!
Summary: I bought this specially for my once-in a lifetime fishing trip to Costa Rica, where it worked most of the time, but tended to freeze up fairly often, both in photo and video mode. Then I would have to unscrew the back plate, remove the battery and re-insert it to fix. It also had the annoying tendency to shut off about 30 seconds into video recording. I was careful to install the latest firmware update, V188.8.131.52 before I left for my trip, but it did not help.
Summary: This is a really cool camera, but it is not practical for day to day use, you can't put it on a tripod and shoot the school play. My nephew uses it when he goes snowboarding. Great quality, compact, easy to use.
