Great for recording concerts and You Tube posting!!!
3 January 2012
Summary: I like this camcorder so much that I bought two more for XMas presents. I use mine to post vids to You Tube and the HD quality is great. I also bought a stereo mic and record live concerts with great results.
Summary: As good as it gets for 720p on a pocket cam, and for the price. Wide screen shot is the absolute best in its category. Don't be fooled by the people who complain about the controls--just operate it intelligiently and you won't have any issues. Good lowlight as well. I also had the 2nd generation Vado, and this is a step up.
Summary: Purchased this off amazon. Came very fast. Great little available light camcorder that has interchangeable batteries you can buy off amazon for $4 aftermarket- brands that work great-read the reviews. Compared to other brands, this camcorder was the best for available light and hd video quality on my sharp LED tv.
Summary: I HAVE TWO OF THE "3RD GENERATION" VADO MINI MOVIE/PHOTO CAMERAS. THE HEAVY DVD RECORDER CAMERA IS COLLECTING DUST! BOTH 2ND AND 3RD GENERATION VADOS FIT LIGHTLY IN A SHIRT POCKET OR PURSE, TAKE EXCELLENT MOVIES AND STILL SHOTS. LOW LIGHT OR ACTION. WHAT MORE CAN YOU WANT? THE ONLY DOWNSIDE IS THE 4 GB MEMORY WHICH IS 1/2 OF THE 8 GB OF THE 2ND GENENRATION MODEL. NO FLASH AVAILABLE, BUT IT WORKS WELL IN LOW LIGHT.
Summary: I needed a small video/camera to take with me on vacation that would have more memory than my 4G phone. This product was easy to operate, produced good video and pictures. AND it fits into a small purse or pocket. It was easy to connect to my television and computer for viewing and transfer of photos. What a great product.
Nice to have for those once in a lifetime captures.

Summary: This is a very nice little video/still camera that is easily worn in a cellphone case. It can be carried around like a cellphone and is very handy when those once in a lifetime vids and/or pics need to be captured. Being able to record up to two hours of HD video makes this an accessory that is not bulky when attending special occasions. Finally, no bulky video cameras having to be lugged around.
Summary: after reading ALL the reviews I was so confused and ready to give up on any mini cam. I went ahead and bought it. To sum up my experience so far,,, all the bad reviews are just out of line. As far as no software for editing, most computers have software that functions fine with the VADO. There is also a ton of software available to buy on-line for about 30 dollars. The touch pad is NOT too sensitive. The photo quality was better than the reviewers. stated.
Summary: Very good product. Very handy and easy to manipulate. The option permitting to flip from photo to video is a great feature that my 1st generation VADO-HD doesn't have. Unfortunately, I bought it for $179 and it became $129 two days after without any possibility to get reimbursed for the difference from Amazon.
Summary: I took this camera with me to Cancun in late April of 2010. About a year ago I recieved and reviewed JVC Everio GZ-HM200 Dual SD High-Def Camcorder (Black) which I found to be a really nice camcorder as well, but this was my girlfriend's first trip abroad and so we decided to pack lightly and as small as that camcorder was, taking that, its case, a spare battery and cords actually takes up a bit more room than one would expect.
