Summary: Got to say this is definitely a nice product for the price and the quality it shoots at. Has definitely filmed some great memories already and knowing that things will be in good quality definitely is a plus. Easy to use also nothing to crazy when it comes to menu and settings.
Summary: It is hard to believe that the quality of this little camcorder is better than my Sony hand held camcorder and all for just over a $100. I would have saved $600 if this product was out 2 years ago. The HD quality is excellent and I love the built in USB connector so I can just plug strait in to the computer or TV with no cable.
Summary: What a huge disappointment. My daughter was going to use this for a school project. The camera worked the first couple times that she used it, very briefly, and hasn't worked since. I had already bought many of the added accessories, so it was a huge waste of money.
Summary: I ordered the Vado on October 1st as a Christmas present for my husband. I tried to return the defective Vado to Amazon.com. I tried to return the Vado unit because the unit was defective and the buttons on the unit wouldn't even function correctly. Unfortunately, I learned that the return window expired on November 12th, 2011 at Amazon.com. My husband tried to receive customer support directly from the manufacturer of the Vado, Creative Labs. What a nightmare!
Great for recording concerts and You Tube posting!!!
3 January 2012
Summary: I like this camcorder so much that I bought two more for XMas presents. I use mine to post vids to You Tube and the HD quality is great. I also bought a stereo mic and record live concerts with great results.
Summary: I ordered this just for creating YouTube videos however sent it back within an hour of receiving it. The touch controls are so terrible it was almost impossible to adjust the settings and use the camera at all. Once I finally got it setup and recording I noticed the LCD doesn't even show the entire recorded field of view which makes it difficult to make sure everything you need is in the cameras view.
Summary: As good as it gets for 720p on a pocket cam, and for the price. Wide screen shot is the absolute best in its category. Don't be fooled by the people who complain about the controls--just operate it intelligiently and you won't have any issues. Good lowlight as well. I also had the 2nd generation Vado, and this is a step up.
Summary: I was looking for an inexpensive HD camera to film short scenes for training videos I do at work. I did a ton of research, and found this camera to be the best suited for my needs and budget. This camera is GREAT for basic shots at a distance, but not close up. The video playback quality is really good on a subject 4+ ft away. As you get closer than that, the quality suffers, but then again, this camera was not designed for that.
