Creative Labs Vado HD 3rd Gen

CNET
5 August 2010
  • Summary: Though the Creative Vado HD 3rd Gen doesn't do quite enough to distinguish itself from the competition, it does offer some nice improvements over earlier Vado HD models that keep it relevant in the pocket camcorder space.
  • Pros: Compact stylish design; 2-inch LCD; responsive buttons; easy to use; charges through USB port; HDMI output; compatible with both OS X and Windows; supports optional external mic.
  • Cons: Software will only run if the device is attached; no SD card slot; no bundled carrying case.

Creative Vado Pocket Video Cam HD 3rd Gen

PC Magazine
17 July 2010
  • Conclusion: Creative's latest Vado HD makes some improvements over its predecessor, but not enough to make it stand out in the increasingly crowded pocket camcorder pack.
  • Pros: Compact body. Good low light performance. Headphone output/mic input jack. HDMI cable included.
  • Cons: Limited 4GB memory and no SD slot for expansion. 2x digital zoom. No 1080p support. Poor-quality still image capture.

Creative Vado HD (3rd Generation) Review

Digitaltrends
15 March 2010
  • Excerpt: Creative’s first-generation Vado HD may have fallen off the horse the first time we threw it in the ring in our mini HD camcorder roundup , but Creative has dusted the little guy off and come back for more. The new third-generation Vado HD departs from the first and second generations with a sleek new design, additional features like external microphone support and improved low-light recording, while oddly dropping in storage from 8GB to 4GB.
  • Pros: Superior low-light performance, Wide-angle lens, Slender and lightweight, Manual exposure control, Inexpensive
  • Cons: Unnaturally tinted colors, Touch controls less precise than hard buttons, Poor automatic exposure adjustment, Half the memory as competitors, predecessor, No external storage slot, No macro mode, Durability issues with USB arm

TEST: Creative Vado HD Gen. 3 - Nytt og litt kjedeligere

PC World
25 May 2011
