Summary: I got this to start recording personal events/activities such as watersports, snowboarding, biking, airsoft, ect. Works great so far as expected for the price. The only reason it is 4 stars and not 5 is I have yet to be able to download the storyteller app to adjust settings through that, but that is not the product's fault, I had found out that Contour went out of business before I had purchased this so the site is inactive.
Summary: I bought this product to record airsoft footage and it does a very good job at that. It has some fisheye, as my editor said, but nothing some editing cant fix. It have 1080p hd which is very nice and it is very durable and simple to use. Great product at a good price.

Summary: I have 4 of these, and each was a little over $100, which was a bargain even for an older camera (2011). For simple point-and-shoot they're nice. Picture quality is OK if a bit pixelated sometimes and lighting response seems unpredictable. HOWEVER.. Contour closed its doors last summer, and now these are almost $100 each more expensive..
Summary: I have used this camera skiing out west coast. I did NOT put the waterproof case on it and the camera worked great! I have also used this camera just on regular vacations as I find it easy to hold but be careful as the mic is on the front so don't put your finger over it. The trigger to turn the camera on sometimes will come on in my pocket so I will record a bunch of sound from my pocket. The battery seems to work for a good amount of time.
Summary: I like almost everything about this camera. If you are a technical person, you might not like that you can not view video or change setting from the unit out in the field. Those functions must be done with a computer. I suppose if you have a laptop with you you could do these things. I don't carry a laptop on my motorcycle though. Overall a great product.
Summary: We bought this for our daughter, as a beginner camcorder more likely to survive the adventures of a bicycling, swimming, fun-loving, 12-year old girl. Well...some downsides to that plan, mostly could have been foreseen, but perhaps more important than we'd guessed: this camera has no viewfinder. For a kid, that's half the fun. Maybe more than half, being able to immediately show the footage to a friend.
Summary: I like this camera because it is quality without the price tag. This isn't a cheap camera as the price would suggest. I use it to film my college escapades and it does quite swimmingly. The audio isn't very sensitive, but will pick up any normal conversation within about 10 feet assuming there isn't too much background noise. The lens pivots to accommodate any camera angle which is pretty sweet.
Good camera for capturing action, not soo detail though

Summary: I mount this on my dash and under the rear view mirror. I found it that anchoring it to the dash gave me less shaking. Image is clear, but not sharp. Shaking of the car is magnified and you can barely read any license plate because of it. Overall it's a good camera to capture your actions, but don't expect to get detail images especially if you want to be able to read license plates of cars or small signs.
Summary: This camera has very nice video quality for the price. Mounted to the side of my motorcycle helmet, its streamlined shape does not create any noticeable wind resistance. The large record switch is very easy to operate with gloves and makes it easy to know if you are recording. It will also beep loudly to let you know when you are starting or stopping or if the battery is low or the memory card is full.
Good for the price, comparable to the gopro models

Summary: I was torn between the GoPro and the contour but the price was about 200 different for the hero2 and hero packages so i decided to try contour out. It placed good reviews on Gizmodo and a few other sites. I originally bought it to record motorcross and such but I plan on using it much more in depth. Pros: I like the way it mounts better than a gopro. The profile is more user friendly for me.
