Summary: Firstly, I now own Contour+, Contour+2, and Contour Roam2 cameras. You could say I'm something of an anti-GoPro person mainly because I think they're hideous, a pain in the *** to use, and I like competition. So I went with contour to start and never went back. Even though them going out of business last year then coming back I stuck it out hoping they'd come back and be better than ever. So on to my review, This is a good camera... NOT a GREAT camera.
Summary: So let me start by saying I really like this camera. It has some really nice mounts, and it's dead simple to use. It has a few small issues though. Using the handle bar mount, the camera's battery will shift around and disconnect. Sometimes this will corrupt the video file in the middle of the recording. The fix to this is to take a couple of strips of gaffer's tape or something similar and attach the to the sides of the battery. The helmet mount works flawlessly.
Summary: The camera works great. Great video. Only trouble I have is the audio is really muffled. I was using the camera with-out the water proof case. I need to try an external mic and see how that makes the audio sound.
Summary: I use the Contour primarily for skydiving and love it. The price was great and the camera even better. I was able to sync it easily up with my Android to change settings on the fly and properly aim the gamer where I wanted it. The video quality and stability of the picture/video is great. The only down fall with the Contour is there mounts and lack of locking system. I actually had the camera knocked off my head on its third skydive luckily I had the tether hooked up.
Summary: I have had this camera for a couple of months now and have used it on many rides. I usually mount it on the very front of my R1200RT just under the oil cooler. The low point of view gives dramatic looking video. There are multitudes of mounting choices. I used a permanent adhesive pad and the mount has been stable and trouble-free. Camera operation is fairly simple: one big sliding switch. You can turn on the bluetooth and GPS functions separately.
Summary: So glad I got one of these, it has been very entertaining. I have had nothing but a pleasant experience this camera. I've recorded about a dozen different sports from water skiing to paintball to biking to so on. The quality of the video is very impressive for a low cost camera but I would recommend an external microphone for better audio.
Excellent piece of kit, sound quality could improve

Summary: This is an excellent camera, video is crisp, gps works excellent, only two issues i have is the sound quality, wish it was better, though I know an external mic is needed to avoid the wind noise.
Summary: Some other viewers expressed disappointment, but I'm not exactly sure what they are looking for. I didn't come in with any expectations. I just wanted a small device that would not be cumbersome, and the contour 2+ definitely fits the bill. I initially bought it to do some instructional video-ing of how to use certain types of medical equipment. I haven't gotten around to doing that yet, but I did just try it out when I went ice climbing in Maine this past weekend.
