Conclusion: The Contour+2 is a compact solution for capturing great-looking sports footage in HD, but its OS X (and to a lesser degree, iOS) software don’t quite live up to the excellent hardware.
Pros: Sturdy, well-built hardware with virtually limitless options for camera mounting. Great HD picture quality in proper light. Free iPhone app controls camera settings while on the go. Mac app is free, and plots your video’s GPS coordinates on a Google map.
Cons: Short battery life. Pro QuickTime extensions may cause Mac app to crash when launched. While the hardware is great, the Mac software is just OK.
This year's flagship Contour+2 is better and cheaper than its predecessor.

Conclusion: If you’re a Contour enthusiast who simply wants to know whether the Contour+2 is better than the original Contour+, then our answer for you is simple: Yes it is. By a huge margin. The Contour+2 performs better, handles better, and costs less than the Contour+, so there’s really no question that this is a dramatically improved camcorder. But the Contour+2 isn’t just a minor update, even though it may appear that way on paper.
Contour+2 review: the best consumer helmet camera on the market
5 September 2012
Summary: This helmet camera doesn't take any big steps forward with audio or video quality compared to the competition. Then again, with 1080p recording in a package this small, and a line-in for audio from whatever source you want, it could be argued there's not a lot of headway to make there.
Summary: The Contour+2 is ideal for action adventurers who want a helmet camera with a simple recording control. For other applications, the Contour+2 presents a frustrating user experience, which is disappointing, given its premium price.
Pros: Simple to start recording and lock into place, Able to stream over HDMI, Rotating lens element, GPS tracking
Cons: MicroSD card can come out of place in rough-and-tumble situations, No screen, so beeps and lights are difficult to interpret, Australian RRP is very expensive
Summary: Best i test.
