Summary: This is a great miniDV camcorder. It's small, lightweight, and simple. I'm currently using it to import old miniDV tapes to a digital format. I like this camcorder more than any of the other miniDV cameras I've used before.
Summary: I bought this camera from a private owner. I guess that's how these things work. Anyway, the camera viewing options broke down on me probably within it's 6 or 7th use. I don't want to spend 300 dollars buying a new camcorder but damn if they didn't send me a piece of faulty s***.
Summary: I have had this item for 4 years and generally I can say that it worked ok but there had been several tips which annoyed me. The main problem was transferring materiel from mini dv cassette to lap top lenovo G560.
Summary: I would imagine your looking at a mini Dv camcorder to use to shoot video and then edit with it. If your not planning to edit you video than go buy a mini DVD camcorder and not a mini dv camcorder, but if your like me, who likes to edit, the canon Zr is the camcorder to go with.
Summary: This product met all my requirements IN THEORY. In practice, it was defective upon delivery. Fortunately, I tested it thoroughly and found that the video capture/transfer process did not work properly. My test video transferred to my hard drive with skipped frames, and actually froze up at times.
Summary: Okay, so I have had this camera for about two years now. Actually, I have gone out and brought a new camera (HD!) because this one has stopped working. However there are many things which I should say about this camcorder.
Summary: I am very happy with the video camera I order via Amazon.com. What I am most strongly UNHAPPY about it that my order was "subbed out" to Tiger Direct. I had selected "Next Day" shipping with Amazon. When the order was sent to Tiger Direct my choice of shipping was NOT noted.
