Excerpt: I didn't give this a 5 star rating only because nothing is perfect, although I havent come across anything I don't like so far. But here's the thing: LEARN to use this camera, not by reading the manual but by taking one of the great online courses available. There are many, but I subscribe to[@] and have taken a number of courses by Anthony Artis who is an outstanding teacher.
Pros: Good in Low Light, Great Picture Quality, Great Zoom
Summary: This is a great professional camera. The video quality is excellent. Besides, I have no problems with low light recordings. The only negative thing I have to say about it; the exterior microphone mount isn't very stable (only 2 screws that attaches the mount to the camera). From the touch of it, it feels like it can or may break off the camera. Also, the exterior microphone opening is too wide, I have trouble attaching my Rode NTG2 Microphone to it.
Summary: If you want a high-end camera that is an affordable entry into the foray of pro equipment THIS is your best value. I bought two of these and have been very impressed! They are holding up very well to all the elements and banging around I subject them to. 2-years, and still no problems with these cameras! Pro: TONS of customization options to set your button functions exactly where you want them. Quality low distortion lense. XLR and minijack audio inputs.
Excerpt: This camera is great it is my frist pro camera and a little complicated at first. I have only been using it for a couple of weeks and am getting to know most of the functions quickly. Can't wait to see what else this camera can do.
Pros: Easy to Use, Great Picture Quality, Great Sound, Large Clear LCD
Great Camera for the non professional who needs a professional cammera

Summary: This is definitely a professional grade camera that is still with in the price an armature can afford. What I like is the price the ease of use and the small size of the camera. What could be better would be for Cannon to provide a manual that better explained to a non professional why and when each feature is used, rather then assuming a professional is reading the manual. Great product at a great price.
Excerpt: This camera produces terrific images - especially in ideal conditions (well-lit interiors, bright exteriors). Not all that bad in low light but that's what DSLRs are for, no? Great size also makes it ideal for travel (I can fit this camera and 2 DSLRs in my Kata backpack). I've used this camera alongside cameras costing more than double the price and couldn't tell the difference in image quality (looked better than most of the footage shot with the Sony HXR-NX5U which...
Pros: Easy to Use, Good Image Stabilization, Great Picture Quality, Great Sound
Excerpt: I upgraded from canon gl2 to xf100. Really like the size as well as how easy it is to adjust key settings by touch of button and not through menus. The menu is easy to navigate and LCD screen is nice size. The only thing I'm not sure if I like yet is the cf cards they are a little pricey but the footage is incredible.
Pros: Easy to Use, Good Image Stabilization, Good in Low Light, Great Picture Quality, Great Sound, Large Clear LCD
Excerpt: Our videoing takes a lot of moving at a fast pace this camera is just the right size. XF 100 is able to keep us from fatigue for longer periods. We also us a Canon XF 305 that is much bigger and has more weight to it.We love both cameras.
Pros: Easy to Use, Good in Low Light, Great Picture Quality
