Summary: great camera for my work, it makes my job, easier, the only thing is when I download the files i have to plug the electricity cord, but all in all the camera is easy not heavy, and it meets my demands.
Summary: I had a JVC GZ-HD320BU and i wasn't happy with it because of the video quality in low light. Not happy at all... Then i bought the Canon Vixia HG20 cause i read about the good video quality in low light conditions. At first i thought the HG20 has a video light like my old JVC. Even on Amazon, they say it has... Wrong! The led on the front of the HG20 is ONLY a flash for still pictures.
Summary: This is a great camera.. very much in the pro area of gear. I'd reccomend it to the Indie Videographer or wedding video person. As a three time emmy winner I know when I see a winner in a camera! This is it!
Summary: Great camcorder, high quality videos and awesome still image. the only bad thing is the absence of the flash light with the video recording, so the quality is affected so much by the lightening.
Summary: I've used this camera for over 2 years now and first used it on a trip to London & Liverpool, it took great quality videos as well as photos. Easy to use and to back up to a Compact Flash card. I've made over 300 videos that are posted to You Tube ([...]) and it's still working great. The audio (output from digital audio interface direct to camera's audio input) is high quality which is great as most of the work I do is music oriented.
Summary: This is a great camera in every way. My only hold out was the fact that some reviews questioned the low light ability. I've got to say it has excellent low light quality and even has a night time function that I didn't even know was there until I had already used it filming some hunting trips right up until dark. The quality was excellent even without it. I was pleasantly suprised! This camera is very user friendly and has tons of features.
Summary: I haven't had the camcorder for long...but what I've shot is nothing less than superb! There ARE issues importing into Final Cut Pro for editing....but eventually....Canon will wake up....and get it right for their next issue.
