Canon HG10 HDD Camcorder

eryana09, REVIEW STREAM

  • Excerpt: Canon HG10 HDD Camcorder has some amazing functions that make me feel in awe. The features are cool and awesome and the only disadvantage would be the heavy feel to this bulky item. It is very HEAVY! And a lot of times, I feel my hands feeling the plunge of carrying this heavy set around. But I have no other complaints besides this. There are USB cable of course and the wireless remote function is a real baby bonus.

Great Camcorder, Size Is perfect, Easy to Use, Super Picture

  • Excerpt: I bought his camcorder about 2 weeks ago to video my daughters Christmas Program.  The camcorder has a good feel, worked great in mid to low lighting, and was super easy to use.  The hard drive has plenty of space...over 5 hours on the highest quality setting....nice not to have to carry tapes around.  The supplied battery only lasts a little over an hour....but that is not too substandard.  That was plenty enough time for her program...

  • Excerpt: The HG10 is awsome for the price, The quality, size, and ease of use is simply fantastic. Videos are HD quality that can be adjusted if you are planning to film before dumping the file from the harddrive onto another storage device. Buy another battery to ensure you don't run out of power while out filming.

Easy to use and great quality.

towertabletennis, Ebay

  • Summary: I purchased the camcorder to record my kids playing a fast action table tennis target game. This is my first time ever using a camcorder. I charged the battery and skimmed thru the instruction manual. I set the camcorder to fluorescent lighting and left everything else alone. I attached the camcorder to a tripod and turned it on and let it record for 45 minutes without touching it. The vedio looks great.

It takes time to get the hang of roxio.

  • Summary: Video pictures are great almost broadcast quality. the only thing is, get good editing software. I use roxio pro 2011 99 dollars. Get the hang of it and your all set. Also get a 2400 ma batt. the batt they give you will die in a hour.

"Thoroughly Disappointed with Canon HG10"

Ben342, CNET
11 May 2010
  • Pros: It turns on.
  • Cons: Non-existant support for low light or indoor recording. The picture comes out so poorly you will prefer to use your 20 year old SD Camcorder instead! Poor User Interface.

  • Summary: Handling of the camera is easy, but avchd files make editing more complex. Not ideal for home and family use.
  • Pros: Great image quality, sharp colors.
