    23 August 2009

Introduction Just when you thought high definition video cameras couldn't get any smaller, Canon comes along and releases the VIXIA HF11. It is full high def (1,920 x 1,080) and will record it as 108060i, 108030p, or 108024p. It uses SD memory cards instead of tape, DVD-R, or hard drive, so it has no moving parts other than the zoom lens and focus. It has 32 GB of memory built-in, which will record nearly three hours at the highest bitrate option. It will not only fit in... Read more

This model is especially versatile because it allows dual memory card recording, plus playback via HDMI and USB. The audio quality is just as impressive as video recording, although Canon took a step backward on the wind filter. Although this camcorder is expensive, it is more affordable than most models in its class and has much better quality as well. It's not perfect, but for the price, it comes pretty close. There are only a few nuisances that come with nearly every... Read more

This has to be one of the best personal camcorders under $1000. There are too many reviews comparing this camera to professional and prosumer camcorders! Of course this isn't going to produce the same quality as a $4000 camera! And editing is a breeze with final cut. Just long and transfer, no need to render after dropping it in the timeline! If you're looking for professional quality video you need to look at professional quality cameras, but if you want great looking... Read more
