Summary: Small but mighty. I have a production company, and I'm telling you that this little guy out performs cameras that cost more than 20x the amount. The detail is amazing, color reproduction stunning, and to top it off, the Image Stabilization in it is so smooth, with a good cameraman, there's no need for anything else but a smooth arm and smooth steps. Canon got this one right.
Summary: This Canon R40 has so far delivered the knockout punch when the time arrives for recording video. It just simply works, and at the same time, it is simple to use, no Ph.D required. Use the R40 to shoot low definition in MP4 mode or high definition in 60P mode.
Summary: I purchased this little jewel prior to a trip to Charleston to visit our grand kids. On the 5th day of out 8-day visit, the camera was in my wife's lap where were sitting on a dock having cocktails. She quickly jumped up to chase our 3-year old granddaughter (who didn't have her "listening ears" on), and clunk! The little camera rolled several times right into the ocean! The painful thing was the data lost of the kids.
Summary: Easy to operate once you learn/master all the features. I especially like the zoom feature that i can operate from the view finder. I haven't yet used the Wi-Fi feature which I plan to study with the help of the great assistance I get from the instructors at Apple.
Pros: Small, compact and easy to carry in my pocket
Cons: I haven't found anything yet but I'm planning to give it a workout shortly on my vacation in July.
Summary: Current camcorder is currently from 1999. when we purchased this one we were skeptical of getting it thinking it would be difficult to use. it was just the opposite and we quickly started it up and use it.
Pros: is quick to start up and use.had a very affordable price.
Cons: memory is not long enough and the battery life is short.
