Summary: I purchased this camera to replace an older Canon SD camera. It was a nice upgrade at very modest cost, has touchscreen interface and HD recording capability. My only complaint was that the automatic lens cover does not work...this was a flaw in the reconditioning process not worth returning the camera over, but I did grade down one star as a result.
Summary: I am very pleased with this purchase, with the exception that it does not have a memory card, so as I was all ready to film Christmas morning, I had to try to track down a memory card:( Otherwise I love it.
Summary: The camcorder is great! Very compact and easy to use. The only problem I have with it was the battery, BUT there are many great 3rd party vendors who sell extra batteries (cheap) for this camcorder. Wasabi batteries are the ones I purchased and would recommend them above the others. They last about an hour each on average, compared to the roughly 15 min life span of the stock battery which is a great improvement!
Summary: We use this camera to record our sons lacrosse games. We bought an extra battery since some of the tournaments last all day. We also bought a sun shade for the view finder. On sunny days its tough to see the screen. It fits well on out tripod, its compact. We take the SD card out and easily transfer videos to our Mac.
Summary: I'm older and hate fussing with gadgets, but this camera was surprising easy to use. Although there are still a lot of buttons I haven't figured out yet (mainly because I hardly ever read instructions), so far its done more than I need and supplies crisp, clear video footage.
Summary: I purchased this camera from HH Gregg a few months ago and I must say this is a really nice camera...especially since I got it for considerably less than it is priced even on Amazon. Out of the box, it records in the AVCHD format, but this can be changed in the settings to MP4 which is a tremendous bonus. It also allows you to take pictures after a video is made which is a little different as even most cell phones now allow you to do so while recording.
Summary: I have not been able to use it but I bought it because it was just like the HFR10 that I had and was stole. The only beef I have about it is the operations instructions as with the HR10 are not the consumer friendly as they could be. But I do like the style and the smallness of it and the pics I havc taken are very good.
