Summary: This camera is worthless because the battery life is AWFUL! You are lucky if you get an hour of battery life from a full charge. And now my battery doesn't even hold a charge! I wish I would have listened to the reviews about the battery life and got a different camera. Also, the transferring of videos is a pain, not user friendly or easy at all. Save yourself some frustration and get a different camera!
Summary: This camcorder has some good features. For example it has a external microphone port for those who want to do interviews or make movies and need to plug in a microphone. The picture quality is very good when you connect it directly to your HDTV. One downside is that the recording is in a format that doesn't work with my other editing software including Windows MovieMaker.
Dissappointed that the software provided does not work with Windows 7

Summary: The camcorder is very capable but why would Canon ship it with defective software? They must be aware of the problems by now but offer no help or updates from their website - wasting a lot of their customer's time, patience and good will. Judging by the comments on several forums the Pixela VideoBrowser 1.2 does not function with Windows 7 for anyone.
Summary: I gave this camcorder a rating of 2 only because of the problem I encountered with it.It had been working properly until the lens cover decided not to open intermittently. The videos that it took were crystal clear and sharp as a razor. The menue was somewhat of a challenge to master, but if you took your time it would become clear to you. Advanced manual on DVD is a real PITA, but it seems that most manufacturers are doing this now.
