The Canon Vixia HF R11 features an 32 GB flash drive that allows users to record up to 12 hours of high definition video. Supporting Relay Recording, the camcorder automatically switches video recording from the internal drive to a supported SD memory card when the memory becomes full. Having a flash memory/SD card memory slot also means that the camcorder supports optimized response time, because there are no moving parts. The flash memory also allows for low power consumption rate that gives users a longer period of recording time; and shock-resistance properties that protects data that is recorded and saved on the flash memory. Other features on the camcorder include Dynamic IS that provides continuous adjustment throughout the entire zoom range to correct a broader range of motion and extra compensation at wide-angle focal lengths to reduce unwanted vibration; Genuine Canon Face Detection technology that focuses up to 35 faces automatically, Smart Auto which detects and analyzes faces, brightness, color, distance, and movement, then automatically selects the correct settings for the scene; Instant AF focusing system which uses an external sensor, in combination with Canon's auto focus system, to decrease the time it takes to find focus, even in low light conditions, making it ideal for shooting in high brightness or night shooting situations; Advanced Video Snapshot which allows users to record a series of short video clips or select favorite clips while in Playback Mode, and blend in favorite background music to create a movie (a recording time of 2, 4, or 8 seconds can be selected); HD-to-SD Downconversion which allows users to convert recorded high definition video to standard definition files while preserving the original HD video. These standard definition files make it convenient to edit, share video online, or create a DVD; 24p Cinema Mode which enables a professional “film-look”; and dual shot function which enables both capture of camcorder and digital still shots.See less
